can i run windows xp on a sever motherboard?
i want to build a computer and i was just wondering if i get a server motherboard could i use it with windows xp pro. its a Supermicro Dual Xeon Motherboard P4DMS-6GM

Yes, the hardware used in servers is typically compatible in WinXP. One thing to be aware of is if you are running a 64 bit processor you will need Windows XP Pro x64 Edition.
