Windows Home Sever
What is the difference between a sever case and a regular case?
Creating a windows home server. Do I really need a server chassis?
Only if you're going to be holding quite a few hard drives. To my knowledge, this is why server cases are generally larger. To accommodate more hard drives and/or optical drives. You should be fine with just a regular case.

If you have the "Home" version of Vista, it won't work. You need one of the business versions.

I don't feel depressed but others are concerned?
For the past 6 mo or so I've been wanting a lot of solitude. It all started by me severing ties with a very good friend because I just couldn't stand to be around her anymore. Day in and day out she complained about her bf and I just couldn't take the negativity anymore. I work each day, come home, make dinner, care for my pets, straighten up, and watch TV and study for a course I am taking. Sometimes I just stare out the window and think about stuff. I don't want to be bothered by anyone. I often dodge invitations from friends, and although I do have a boyfriend I don't ever feel like spending time with him. Everyone keeps asking me what's wrong, suggest I seek counseling, but I feel content and peaceful alone. Everyone in my life seems so clingy and needy and over-involved in each other's lives I think. They try to cheer me up, which only frustrates me more. Is this all an indication of depression?
I am one of those people who withdraws from others at times. I gain needed energy from my solitude. I find peace and comfort with time alone to enjoy my pets, books, cooking, playing on the computer and listening to music. Then I'm ready to get back to my energetic life filled with husband, grandchildren and friends.
Many other people seek the company of friends and family when they need a boost in mood. It's just their nature.
I don't think you sound depressed. I would bet that you are a "giver" and get weary from giving. Go ahead and enjoy your break. Just don't let it go on too long. The people you love need to spend some time with you.
what do you think of my horror story idea??
I was thinking of calling it Killer of Death....its just the general outline..ITS a little long but could you please read it and give your opinion? thanks a lot!
Andre has always been followed by death. It started when he was in elementary school, where he was bullied by Marcus Jones, a big older boy who loved picking on kids. One day, Andre pictured in his mind Marcus being brutally hurt and dying. Later that day, Marcus dies when he falls after slipping on some spilled milk in the cafeteria and shatters his jaw and rupturing his brain. And after that, Andre’s parents died during the same day, both in separate store robberies. He grows up very disturbed, but very smart. He becomes a writer, and on the side he practices martial arts. Every woman he ever came to love would eventually be killed in some way, all of his friends, killed as well. So he cut himself away from the world, staying inside to write, never coming in contact with anyone. But then he is struck with pure love by a woman named Sandra. He cautiously befriends her, then after several years of love without death, he marries her. They were married for five years. He had not witnessed death for nearly nine years. And then Sandra was killed when their car careened into the woods. A tree branch had broken the window and severed her neck. But Andre was in the car too. He was unhurt. At Sandra’s funeral he spots a man in a black suit across the street smiling at him, and when thunder sounds above his image flashes for a second to that of the grim reaper, clothed in a black robe and hood and holding a scythe. Then he is the man again. He disappears. After the funeral Andre looks for him, and finds him near his wife’s grave hours later. He goes to confront him, but a truck blocks the road. When it passes, the man is gone. That night, he is driving home when a multicar crash happens in front of him. All of the drivers die. At around midnight he drives to the graveyard and starts screaming into the sky, “Death! I know it was you today! Why do you haunt me! WHY?” There is a cool breeze, and then the wind stops, and the world becomes silent. A voice comes into Andre’s head and says that he will always be haunted by death. If he wanted to see him again, then he would need to kill somebody. Andre vows that he will kill death. He will kill the grim reaper. He goes home, and the next day he goes to an old bookshop owner at the corner of a street. He remembers him from when he was a kid; he thought he was crazy believing in all sorts of odd things like monsters and such. He asks him if it was possible to kill the grim reaper. The man says that he can only be killed when you are about to die, when you are on the brink, and then when death is about to finish you, you must burn him with fire. Andre goes to a cliff near the river and jumps, and lands on the rocks below. His legs break and his face is smashed. He is in so much pain. Then he sees the man in black, his image flashing back and forth from the man to the grim reaper. He raises his scythe, and then Andre pulls out oil and squirts it onto death, and then shoots him. Death catches fire, and falls into the water. He is dead. Andre smiles and passes out, thinking he died. Then he wakes up the next morning. His legs are healed, and his face is fine. He sees the scythe on the ground. He picks it up. Power shoots through him, and he is possessed for a split second by the voice of death. Then he is back to normal. He throws the scythe into the river. He leaves. Several days later he strikes success with one of his books. Within days it is on the bestseller list. His life seems to be going good, and then it happened. On the news there is a story about how a scythe was found washed ashore downtown, with a dead body lying next to it. He had been killed when he touched it. Andre goes to the scene and grabs the scythe, it doesn’t kill him. He keeps it, and while it is in his house he has strange powers. He cannot die. He can see the life inside of people, and in their blood he can see when they are going to die. He can make anybody die whenever he wants. Whenever he looks into the mirror, he sees himself, and then he sees the grim reaper. He became Death. He becomes possessed with the power. He becomes a criminal, stealing money and killing people. He lives for almost a hundred years, still looking as if he were thirty. He kills off a woman on a train one day. That night he hears a man calling his name. He goes to him. It is a young man in a graveyard over his dead wife’s grave. He threatens that he will kill him. Andre laughs. Soon the young man named Chris cuts himself and forces death to come to him. They fight, and then Andre is killed. Chris goes to the scythe, and is about to pick it up, then he is called by a policeman, and leaves. The next day, the scythe mysteriously appears in his house. He goes over to it and picks it up. The power shoots through him, and he smiles wickedly. His face darkens, and he wa
well its not really 'horror' but its just like a spooky kind of story you know?
sorry for the cut off, not enough room i copied and pasted it. basically chris became Death, and he starts the cycle again...
its a good idea! i love your idea for a horror story....but please dont call it "killer of death", its not a very good name no offence. but please carry on with it and write it because i really love your storyline....though now youve told us, if you become a published writer, then we'll know what happens at the end...
Setting up DynDNS?
I am attempting to set up a DynDNS account so that I can access my Apache web sever running from my home computer, outside from a remote location. I followed this tutorial (https://www.dyndns.com/support/kb/dynamic_dns_apache_and_windows.html)
and I didn't have any luck I think I got stuck somewhere along the way. Anything you could do to help answer my question is much appreciated. I went through all of the steps but when i attempt to go to the address given to me by DynDNS, the request times out and then nothing happens. Do I need to turn off DHCP on my router for this to work? Because my dad would really get pissed off with that because he needs his laptop to have DHCP seeing as it uses a wireless connection.
You shouldn't have to turn off DHCP.
Did you set up your router to allow incoming traffic? If not, that is the issue. Most likely you'll need to map port 80 to the local address (192.168.x.x) of your Apache machine. Also, when testing, turn on the allow PINGS from the internet option.
Then from a command prompt you can do:
C:\ ping mydomain.dyndns.org
If you get request timeout then it is your dyndns setup. If it works the it must be something in your router mappings.

Is this another good reason to say no to Amnesty for 20,000,000 illegals?
Arizona news today:
Undocumented immigrant suspected in deadly crash
10:17 PM Mountain Standard Time on Wednesday, June 20, 2007
By Scott McGee / 3TV reporter
It was family business that brought Nanuma Lavulavu to the intersection Tuesday night, having just dropped off her daughter at work.
But that's when an undercover sheriff's deputy says he spotted Guadalupe Bojorquez throwing beer cans out of his car window.
Bojorquez is accused of ramming the deputy’s car repeatedly before coming to the intersection that Lavulavu was driving home.
Lavulavu’s leg was severed in the accident, but she died Wednesday morning.
The sheriff says Bojorquez is an illegal immigrant who was deported five times.
This is why we need to say no to amnesty!
This man was deported 5 times and now this American women is dead
It looks at times that this Government is trying to push American's to the point of a revolution!
That way Bush can declare martial law and set up hell on Earth!
Why any American would support this bill which would cause a flood of 20,000,000 more crossing the border is insane!
What has happened to America
This isn't the start of a new nation. America is already overpopulated! We don't need 5,000,000 illegals crossing the border every year! Cheap labor - slave labor for the rich and corporate elite!
They lower the wages and kill the middle and lower class!
America will never go along with this
100,000,000 ILLEGALS if bill passes
FEDS:
Build the entire FENCE
ENFORCEMENT of all laws on the books
Start DEPORTING all illegals *
SANCTION employers
If this bill passes we are doomed to absorb up to 100 million more people [with all illegals familes allowed to come in] and at the rate they are intentionally reproducing the US will no longer be the USA by 2025
Source(s):
* [deporting can be done - France is deporting 30,000 a month as we speak]

In the event of a Tornado
I survived a tornado when I was 12 luckly we were not killed but we lost everything we owned it was loud like a train we were in a hallway in the center of our home which was all that was left the same for our neighbors who lived a mile away when it was over both of our familys stood up in our hallways and starred at each other through what used to be acers of trees and forest between our homes there was nothing. It was the most bizzare thing Iv ever experianced in my life. Now that im married I have all our bedrooms in the basement and when sever weather is issued I spring into action Im afraid of thunder storms terrified of lighting and everyone makes fun of me. Is it true that in the event of a tornado you should open your windows? I think you should because the inside of your home during a tornado gets pressure build up in it you can feel it in your ears like pressure that needs to be released I remember it was painful on our ears and it wasent nessasarly just the noise it was air pressure. I think if our windows had been open the pressure would'nt have made our homes explode. And do you think I go too extream like building our house with the bedrooms in the basement and opening windows during a storm and stuff because my kids and husband make fun of me! Especially when were at someone elses house and It comes up a big storm and they live in a trailer OMG I was freaking out! That was embarrassing but I was affraid. After all the trouble I went to to stay safe Im going to die in someones double wide!
This is the time right now to plan what to do for a tornado and make sure you have a NOAA weather alert radio The radios can alert you when a tornado warning is issued at night while sleeping.
A tornado watch means that conditions are favorable for tornadoes to develop and you should pay close attention to the weather. A watch it typically issued with in 2-3 hours of the event.
When a tornado warning is issued that means doppler radar has detected rotation in a storm or trained spotters have spotted a rotating wall cloud, funnel cloud, or a tornado on the ground.
If a tornado warning is issued for your area, do not panic. Go to a place of safety. Go to the lowest floor of your house like the basement. Once in the basement get under a sturdy piece of furniture or go into a bathroom in the basement. If no basement is available go in to an interior room such as a closet. If that is not available go in to an bathroom without windows. Stay away from outside walls and windows. Cover your head to protect from flying debris. Never try to out run a tornado in a car, if cought in a car and can not take no place of safety, lay down in a ditch and cover your head. Do not take cover under a over pass. Do not stay in mobile homes as they do not offer protection and can be flown as easily as cars can.

Cannot find server issue?
Okay here is my problem. I'm using my psp to play game online ( FTB2) and now when I try to use the internet from my pc it said " Cannot find sever" this is at the top where E is at. But on the screen it said "The page cannot be displayed". So i type on the address bar www.yahoo.com then the yahoo page come up like normal, I than click on the upper right to make it my home page. But when I close the window and open again it give me the same error. Is possible that when I play game online they can actually hack my PC and change stuff? By the way when I type in IPCONFIG in command prompt my internet connect is still connect. Another question if so than how can I fix this? I don't have any kind of anti-virus program ( thought I never need it ). yes I'm using belkin router to play game.
Try connecting directly into the modem. My son's X-Box gets a similar error when I run the packets through a router.
When I want email, I have to ask him to get off and rejigger the wires.
