Why is it unofficial website have more info than official ones?
Whether it be video games, movies, and other forms of popular culture, the "unofficial" ones are always more concise, have more information, et cetera. Is it really good for business for your website to be beaten and thus attract less views than another host's site?

Official sites have to toe the line on what information can be given, the press people for the product will decided what is a good thing to say or what information needs to be avoided. Unofficial sites can say what they like as long as it stays within the libel laws and what they say is based on fact. It still is good for business because the official sites are designed as a sales tool.

Call your credit card company and tell them to remove the charge from your account. You must also notify them in writing for your federal rights to kick in. Do this immediately.

Unoffical website is a website that takes information from the offical website and put it on their own website. Usually these websites have the same topics and details as the offical website. Some lotto results websites are unoffical websites, cause they get their lotto results from the offical lotto corp. website.

Do you run an "unofficial" (unauthorized) website?
I am looking for information. I used to run an unauthorized fan site, but the company called me up and told me that I was running an illegal website and asked me to take down the images. They told me "if I get permission, I can put the images back up". But is this REALLY nessecery? There's 1000's of unauthorized websites on the web, especially for Star Wars, Family Guy, etc. Can someone please let me know how I can run this site and protect myself (because I just want to run a site. I'm not trying to make money off it)?

If they asked you to take down the images, it's likely because you were infringing copyright or intellectual property laws. They gave you an option to use the material if you got permission... did you try asking? Many companies welcome the free exposure that they get from having their images used "unofficially", but they would probably want to put a few conditions on how you use them, obviously. Then again, a lot of artists are very annoyed, these days, at finding their original works all over the net... These people make their living from design, photography, music production, etc. If you simply copy their work and don't pay the appropraite fees, they lose revenue. And, yes, there are lots of "unofficial" sites out there, many of them in breach of copyright... But just because lots of people do it, that doesn't make it right. Most of them stay in business because there are too many of them to shut down... or it's not worth the time and money. In a way, it's a compliment to your site that it attracted enough attention to come to the notice of the company attorneys.

what is the official/unofficial website for "matinee" brand leather jackets.?
