what's a good place where I can create a website for my local landscaping business for free? i been googling to see sites that will allow me/host a web page for my business, but they look kinda "suspicious" (for lack of a better world). Thanks!

This sounds like a good idea if your planning on just a "bare-basics" hosting service. Eg: 10mb disk limit. No CGI-BIN and Email Redirection Only... If you offer verry many features for that price, I would guess that you'd come out looseing money in the long haul.

It depends on how big your site is in megabytes. You can go to Windows Explorer and right click on the folder containing your site when you click on "Properties". Get hosting for twice that (rule of thumb) because you need space for the hits log and emails. Hundreds of views a day is not a big deal - you shouldn't have problems. Hosts measure capacity two ways: Disk space, which the answer above applies to, and bandwidth, which is how much stuff gets downloaded from your site. Bandwidth is often ten times disk space, but it's very hard to say how much you will need. Probably a lot less than you think. Start with a modest hosting plan. They will let you know if/when you exceed the capacities you signed up for and give you a chance to upgrade to higher capacity plan. I'm not sure what you mean by the $1,000 budget. I know verizon does'nt offer that to home users only to business users, Home users are blocked from hosting web pages from their computers

there are plenty of free webhosts but you wont find any that offer free domain names. best bet for domain names is to google search 'godaddy coupons' and find a $1 off coupon or something.
