Web Hosting Solution

I need a web hosting solution fast!?
Hi, I am a web developer who needs help fast. I have a web site ready to go, but I seem to have problems deciding which web hosting solution is right for me. My site contains only dhtml, and javascript for now. I plan on doing much advanced things later on. Maybe some coldfusion and even php. Some web hosting companies I have in mind are: IXwebhosting, hostmonster, and godaddy. Can someone help me. Again some details may be needed to get a better solution. Please ask. Thanks! Control Panel? Damn, I have seem the CPanel and I like it a lot. Other companies, however, offer something call Hsphere, and one call VDeck.. Can someone tell me which one is the best one. I am looking for something very user friendly, and realabile. Thanks

Godaddy, better support

Is it possible to run a wiki on the Yahoo servers using their basic web hosting solution?
I would like to set up a personal wiki to organize some of my thoghts and information. I am a subscriber to Yahoo's basic web hosting plan. This service does not include SSH access to the web servers. Instead, Yahoo mostly allows FTP access, mySQL setup, and limited PHP scripting. Some wiki's are supposed to be lightweight and easy to install, requiring only basic PHP/mySQL setup. Is it possible to run and manage one of these using Yahoo's basic web hosting solution, and if so, which one would you recommend?

I doubt they would, I'd go for a host such as http://www.hostmonsterplus.com It comes with a 1 click wiki installer and just fill in a few empty boxes. Really easy. ^_^

What is the best web metrics hosted solution?
I'm looking for a hosted solution (opposed to installing software) that is easy to use, is robust, really accurate and has good support. Doesn't need to be cheap. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm looking for web metrics, not web hosting. Just a web metrics provider (not full solution website host) eg. WebTrends vs. NetTracker vs. WebSideStory, etc. But thanks for the tips.

You can use google analytics http://www.google.com/analytics/ This one is quite good too: http://www.statcounter.com/

Does the web hosting I choose affect search engine priority?
I am in the process of getting a web page. I have received quotes that couldn't be more different. One factor in my final choice will be effective design and search engine priority. One designer offers web hosting packages the other has quoted to find the most effective web hosting solution for my needs.??????? What do I need to know about hosting???please answer as if I know nothing about it....thank you so much! What does price have to do with hosting...do I get what I pay for?? what should I be looking for in a hosting service???

Be careful of the "mind crimes" that are on this board - such as "be careful of a US based IP address when you want to be listed in the UK". Your IP address has nothing to do with it - instead it is the TDL (Top Level Domain). Some people on this service hear or read about something and they pass it off as truth without testing. The only issue you need to know about your host is: 1. Are they reliable (up time) 2. Is the IP address they give you clean? 3. Can they be trusted (do they sell your log files?) Get a good to great host and also get a server admin too.

Looking for web hosted shopping cart solution with recurring bill payment feature for sale of digital products
I have a client who wants his website visitors to pay for his articles. For example, a years payment would allow you access to his premium articles. I need a solution where it supports recurring subscription payment So I'm looking for a product that allows client to sell his digital product (articles) and collect payment for a year before he has to collect payment again for the next year. Any suggestions for this? I prefer a Web 2.0 solution not so much for the sake of the name of 2.0 but just because there have been some really cost effective 2.0 tools out there in the ecommerce world that has come along. But whatever works is also fine with me as well. Just as long as it works!

you can easily do that with paypal https://www.paypal.com/uk/mrb/pal=K6SM58SHLT8LU and Yahoo webhosting makes it easy to implement it into a shopping cart http://YahooHostingComparison.gsx1.com hope it helped

a good cheap web hosting package?
Starting to get into web design, and wondering if anyone can recommend a good, inexpensive web hosting solution?

There are lots of them out there. I found a good site that reviews budget web hosting - http://www.lowcostwebhosting.ws/ You should be fine with any of the sites mentioned there...

Does anybody have a technical solution for the following web service?
I want to have something looks like the following: It is similar to a mailing-list, except that only me, as the administrator can send out mass-emails to the subscribers, i.e. it is a one way communication. The recipients are passive receivers. When the subscribers subscribe to the mailing-list, they will enter some of their personal information. Among the personal information are some key words. These keywords are used for my search. When I send out some emails, I will first search relevant keywords, and send out emails only to those selected recipients...How do I do this? What kind of technical solutions are available to me? I am mostly looking for some existing tools and hopefully the solutions are simple to use -- because I am a green hand and have not been doing web-hosting stuff before. Basically, I have no idea about how to set up a server, etc. So I am hoping that there are easy and existing solutions that can help me. Hopefully they are free. I can give up the search part.

Chilly Domains - web hosting, has anyone else had problems with them?
Last August I was looking for a cheap hosting solution for a one page website, and chose these cowboys. I have never been able to upload a single page to my alloctated domain, and each time I emailed them I was informed. 'Our engineers have rectified the problem.' In the end I just told them to get lost and used another hosting service. But now, despite my pointing out that I could never access their services they are threatening me with debt collectors unless I pay up. It's only a small amount, so they have added another year on for not cancelling by registered letter, although I did cancel by email, the same way I signed up. I have a whole file of emails to them asking for help to access my domain, but never had a satisfactory reply. I cannot believe I'm the only one to have problems with them. Any advice appreciated.

If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months' time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account. I would like to suggest following webhosting , they are excellent. Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukenden/ They offer hosting of "unlimited domains" and you will get massive webspace of 300000 MB (300 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer "a free Domain Name" and installing service called "Fantastico". By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer "Free Website Builder" as well. Visit the site to check details. Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukenden/ Domains Following site is quite good to register domains as price is reasonable with free privacy. Some charge about $5/ year just for free privacy. IPOWER http://www.anurl.com/?TXIBE
