Vps Server Hosting
How do I get my website up and running?
I recently bought a domain name and a VPS server running Debian. I changed the domain name server to the one that my VPS server hosting company gave me and they added my domain name. I can access the server through PuTTY and upload files through ws_FTP. Whenever I type the domain name into my browser it says that it can't connect to the server. What do I do next to get my website up and running?
Make sure your DNS nameservers settings for your domain are pointing to that server where your site is hosted.

I can access the server through PuTTY and upload files through ws_FTP. I know that my DNS nameserver is pointing to my server IP because I checked it on whois. Whenever I type the domain name into my browser it says that it can't connect to the server. What do I do next to get my website up and running? I am very new to this so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Is your firewall letting DNS and Port 80 (HTTP) traffic through? How about the router?
