Virtual Hosting Plans

desktop configuration experts, please advise?
Hi, Can any1 tell me if its worth to buy a Intel Original 965 RYCK as compared to Intel Original 945 GCNL. I am planning for one with Intel Core2Duo LGA775 (Can't recollect processor number but its around 2.2 GHz) with 1 GB DDR2 Ram. Also, 1. I have 300 W power supply and its 20 pins. Will I have to purchase a new one ?...... Yes, I guess 2. I learnt that it has 4 MB L2 Cache but read at wikipedia that half is disabled :-O. Is it true ? Can we enable it without disturbing its warranty ? I mostly operate some basic applications and learn system administration using VMWARE or similar tools for hosting virtual O/S. Can you suggest if its worth to put in few bucks more for 965... I am planning for cost-effective solution and so... dont plan to invest biggies... Regards,

I find no errors on this specifications. But remember, if you want fast performance, 1gb ddr2 ram will be optimal if you have 60~80 GB Hardisk. If you want 1gb ram but big hardisk storage, you better buy the ddr3 ram, but you must also consider the motherboard compability.

Desktop Hardware config advise?

1. You want the Intel 965 RYCK if you have to pick between those two. The 945 chipset is pretty outdated. Personally I wouldn't get a 965 chipset. I would go with a newer P35 chipset, they cost about the same. This Asus board seems pretty solid: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131180 2. You will need a new power supply. Go for a 450 to 500 watt one. Don't spend less than 60 bucks on it, that way you're pretty much guaranteed a good one. Make sure it has 30 or more amps on the 12V rail. If it has multiple rails then you can roughly add them together. 3.Yes, the 6300 and 6400 have half the 4MB cache disabled. There is no way to enable this because they basically take a laser and cut through the circuitry connecting one half with the other. Most of the time it's damaged anyway, that's why it's disabled in the first place.

Regards, How will I be able to run my processor for 64 bit mode ???

Easy, you have answered your own question. To run a 64bit processor you need a motherboard that supports it. If neither one of these does, look for another combination. As for your power supply, there are cables available to convert from 20 to 24 pins and vise versa.

What to do to be in agreement with US law creating an internet paid game?
Hello I plan on creating a virtual game on internet. It will be a paid game, with possibility to win money. Just one person can win a game, the first one to give the good answer. Knowing i'm french, living in france (but soon living in Mexico) but that the website with those paid games will be destinated to english speaking people and will be host on a U.S Host., what to di need to do to be in agreement with USA law? In france, if i was hosting my website here, i'll have to deposit agreement to a Bailiff. But what do i have to do knowing it will be hosted in USA? deposit agreement too? how much does it cost? And who will keep the good answers to my game in order to don't be accusate to cheat? how much will it cost? Thanks

You would be better off have a host in Mexico. Your host where ever he is will know the local laws! The u.s. will have the most and the most restrictive laws of anywhere
