How Do I Turn on My Dedicated Server On The Internet?
I Have Steams Dedicated Server. It Shows Up In Lan. But, None of My Friends Can Join. Plz Help!

You will have to port forward to the server LAN address. Just forward the ports you need. (You can also set it as the DMZ -- that ponits all internet traffic to that server. Be sure to firewall the server if you make it the DMZ machine) I am assuming there is a router somewhere in this LAN system. Just be aware some ISP's (DSL, Cable, etc) have terms of use which say you are not to be running a server on that line. So check to see if it is allowed!

Required software: Steam Counter-Strike 1.6 / Condition Zero Dedicated Server (Found in Steam > Tools) First, you have to make sure ur router is configured with all hlds ports forwarded to your ip address. To access your router, you type the default gateway address (E.g. 192.168.1.1) in internet explorer and enter your details when prompted. Then navigate your way till you find a section called 'port range forwarding', usually found in 'applications and gaming'. Once there, add an entry 'hlds'. In the port range, from start to end, put 27015 (assuming thats the port ur using), in protocol, select 'Both', in IP address, put ur ip , and tick 'Enable' *NOTE* Only do this step if you are experiencing problems with server detection. Next, you have to install the latest version of AMX Mod X, found in http://www.amxmodx.org. You can access your server mods in C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\*YourAccountName*\dedicated server\cstrike\addons (It should be there if AMXX was installed correctly). Ok, from there its up to you which mods you install on ur server. If you want deathmatch, for example, click the plugins link on the AMX mod X website, navigate your way to the mod, and follow its installation instructions. A typical mod installation would involve excracting the plugin file, compiling it, then adding a line in the plugins.ini file, found in the configs folder. Found this the other day as I was trying to do the same

Counter-Strike 1.6 Dedicated Server Problem?
OK, so i open up my steam dedicated server thats port forwarded already. I refresh the master list and it wont show up! It usually should come up at first because of the low ping but nothing. My firewall is off, and its check on in exeptions. I also added both my static and my normal ip addresses and they show up, but no one can join. Please help guy's ive looked around similar problems but no one seems to have them. -Thanks -Muntunnut I have already forwarded my ports to my ip address give in command prompt ipconfig/all

its ur ports u have to open them and set the connection to internet if nuthhin wroks then go to steampowered.com chk the forums and support topics had that problem

how to publish my server on steam servers list?
i have a created my own server using dedicated server which comes along with steam , but my server doesnt seem to work.. i have used DYNA dns , and added my dynamic ip in my US ROBOTICS MAX G router ( dynamic DNS option), and it doesn't work , ive tried no-ip but ppl say it doesn't work either..what should i do ..im just lost , thanx in advance

Your router will automatically get the dynamic DNS (don't worry about that). In your US robotics router setup you need to forward port 27015 to port 27015 on your dedicated server machine. That should allow the world to communicate with your server on your dynamic IP.

how to add bots in dedicated server? help plz?
help me how to add bots in dedicated server (on steam) from starting in downloading bots till the end of the set up..i wud really apreciate it..tnx

This is what I ended up with. It waits for a player to join, then adds bots to get the total to 10 players. Then it kicks and adds bot when humans join and leave. It seems to be working so far. bot_join_after_player 1 bot_quota 10 bot_quota_mode fill

Counter strike 1.6 has recently updated and now my dedicated server wont work. anyone know how to fix it?
i can start the server up and stuff but i cant join it. nor can anyone els. when i connect it says STEAM validation rejected. ps i can join all server (not including my own); my server was working perfectly fine last week

i have the same problem it just started happening two days ago no one can go on my hlds including me

Ok so i want to download a dedicated server from steam. but then it says something that i might need network configuration. can anyone tell me what this means. Thanks in Advance Do i have to pay or something.

It basically means the ability to communicate with other computeers. Without knowing exactly what the company is looking for, it could mean TCP/IP Configuration, NetBios Configuration, even as simple as a telnet Configuration. Sorry I can't help more than this. Maybe contact the company for further info.

I have counter Strike v1.6(non-steam). i want to make a dedicated server but when i open hlds and make the server, no one comes. I have port forwarded and switch off firewall but all in vain. i heard from a friend that we need to do some editings but he is not telling me further. CAN YOU HELP ME?
