Does anyone need help creating a small business website for free?
I'm starting a webdesign company. I have 10 years experience building websites. I'll do almost any small business website for free right now as I'm trying to build a decent sized portfolio. So far I've completed one site and working on two others but those clients are taking a long time to get their information together and I want to get my business started NOW. So is there anyone here that wants to help me by letting me create a free website for them?

Is it legal or smart for me to make my small business website on myspace.com?
I am putting together a small business. It is balloon bouquet deliveries. I will not be needing the ability to accept credit cards online just yet. All I really need include the website with flyers and my business card, so that when people ask what the bouquets look like, I can let them get online and see pictures.
Am I allowed to use myspace for this purpose?
Is this a smart move on my part or is using myspace to show customers my product unprofessional?

How to start a small business website?
Ok so I am looking to sell handmade bracelets and earrings and such on a small website that will have you pay by paypal. How do I set that up? Like I know I need good pictures of the things im selling and have an eye appealing site
But how to I get a website? How do I get paypal to be on my site?
Also..any ideas on other things I can sell in the jewelry range...something you would buy?
You get a website by registering a domain at sites such as register.com. You will also need to look for a web host. Last you will need to design a web site. Also you will want to consider where to advertise and other things typical to business. There are programs that you can buy or download to design the web site such as Microsoft Frontpage or you can pay a web designer. Yahoo has really good small business web hosting that includes a web site design wizard and support. As far as PayPal, if you already have a PayPal account you can log in and go to the Products & Services tab. Then go to one of the Website payments options and there is a description on how to add it to your site as well as their fee schedule. I don't personally buy jewelry, but my wife enjoys jewelry that's not too ostentatious but tasteful and colorful. Best of luck to you.
How much should I charge for a designing a small business website?
I just got a small gig, setting up a website online, how much should I charge? This is a small independent job.
The first question to ask before accepting a gig regardless of how small is "What is their budget"? or "How much are they willinging to spend" and take it from there.
Website design varies depending on the company's budget and content.
What software is best and cost effective to make a small business website?
I am starting a staffing agency for my parents and I need a recomendation for a cost effective software package for developing a business website. Any suggestions?
dreamweaver is brilliant if you know how to use it....kinda costly though, but worth it, this is our church website *internet church* done with dreamweaver and flash. www.comunionet.com
How much would it cost to make a testimonial video for my small business' website?
I would like to have 4-6 customers interviewed, possibly add some other footage, and have it put into a digital format that can be put on our website.
We have an internal IT department that handles the website.
The video should not be longer than 3-4 minutes.
Make it amateur. From my personal experience as a buyer, i would say i trust non-professionally made testimonials more than something that seems 'paid to flash'.
If you want to hire a pro-maker prepare budget in the range of 1000$ and above => camera rental + lights setting + cameraman + editing sound/video costs for a day is something like 600$ and the rest is for some additional costs like paying people to come to your studio to make the testimonial and various other costs.

I own a small business website in the State of Texas, Do I have to collect Taxes on the merchandise I sell?
Are Taxes collected for the merchandise you sell online ?
I also own a small online business in Texas. You are only required to collect sales tax on items sold to customers in Texas. It is not necessary on out-of-state sales.
What is the cheapest way to accept credit cards on my new small business website?
I have used PayPal for my ebay sales and find it to be cost-prohibitive.
If you think PayPal is expensive, wait til you see the fees with a merchant account. For website transactions, PayPal is the way to go. If your business website is a legitimate business, you should be able to write off the fees as "cost of doing business." If you are not a legitimate business, you should be for that reason. Your website fees, internet provider fees, and even computer depreciation is tax deductible.
