Shared Server Hosting
I have a lot of space on a shared hosting server. Is there a way to backup my computer to that?
I bought web hosting for a sort of personal website and there are no space or bandwidth limits. So, I was wondering if maybe there was a way to back up my computer to this space and possibly let a few others do so as well? I don't think I'm allowed to install any applications server side. I personally am using Mac OS X Leopard, but would be interested in Windows and Linux solutions as well. Not sure what other details I might need to provide.

A good dedicated server is more expensive.
Shared hosting can be slow if others are taking the bandwidth.
It's up to you but if a site is going to VERY busy then shared hosting is out of the question.
ASP Scripts on GoDaddy shared hosting?

I know nothing about ASP scripts but I want to create a visitor registration page for my webiste, which is hosted on GoDaddy's "shared" hosting service. There tech support for scripting is non-existent. How do I build the script? Where does the script need to reside on the host server? Any help greatly appreciated.
So, you've got one of GoDaddy's Windows hosting plans, correct?
Any page named with an extension of .asp should run your scripts. You can build it with standard HTML code, but insert asp code between <% and %> delimiters.
This your first ASP work? You can get an overview of the scripting language various places on the net like:

Are you looking at connecting to an MSSQL database to store the visitor information? Then you'll also need to dig into ADO tutorials.

What is the procedure of bandwidth calculation?
I am using two different hosting servers. One for the website which is shared one and another one is dedicated where all my images are hosted.
My shared hosting website pull the images from the dedicated server.
The problem I am facing is the too much usage of the dedicated server's bandwidth.
The problem we are facing is that the bandwidth of our dedicated server is increasing rapidly.
Thus I want to know how the bandwidth is calculated. For example, if my shared server (website) is hosted on USA and dedicated server(Image) is hosted somewhere in UK.
In the above senario if the customer checks or views our website it would first go to our USA server (shared) then our shared server would contact our dedicated (image server).
In the above senario how the bandwidth would be calculated will the bandwidth calculation of our dedicated server inlcude the total bandwidth usage from the visitor to the shared website and bandwidth usage of shared website to the dedicated server.
Or
The bandwidth usage of the dedicated server would include only the bandwidth used to interact between the shared server and dedicated server.
I would very gratefull if some could give relevent answer to the above queries of mine ASAP.....
Answer is easy,
Contact your host and ask them how they calculate it.
if it's so many megs/month limit, then it's easy, they add up how many bytes of data have been downloaded from your site.

Go daddy hosting is good. But you can't use that with Dream weaver. If you use go daddy hosting you can't connect to the data base correctly.
