Secret Website

What is wrong with the Post Secret website today?
I check the secrets every Sunday, but today when I went to www.postsecret.com I got an empty blog that is nothing like Post Secret. Has the website moved? Is Post Secret over? Is it just a mistake?

They may be doing work on the site, try again in a few more hours. I don't see why it would go down without an explanation.

How do people exchange stocks? Do you log onto a secret website or push a button at Wall Street?
I completely do not understand how people exchange stocks. Do you go to the company HQ in person? Do you file a lot of paper work? Or do you go to Wall Street and push a button to buy shares? Call me dumb (*please don't*) but how does it work?

You might have the word "exchange" a little confused. I'll answer your Qs in the same order you asked them - sort of. This is how the market works. Excahanges get their name because a broker has shares of stock to exchange for money. Much of the trading done today is on-line. True there are still a few "cry" exchanges. A cry exchange is one in which real people shout and motion about the price of stocks or commoditiies. No one goes to the company headquarters to buy the stock or shares. The company has a brokerage handle the shares of stock. Everything is done at the exchange or on-line through the broker. In the beginning when a person or people open a trading account there is quite a bit of paperwork. Once the trading account is opened, money and shares/stocks are readily and easily exchanged. The buttons pushed are those on the keyboard and on the brokers website. Believe me, there are plenty of people who don't trade who probably have the same Qs and thoughts you do. You're not stupid. In fact, the mere fact you asked the Q AND you received answers, means there are folks who know what to do and how to do it. AND there are plenty of others who don't. Remember this: There is no such thing as a "stupid question. The only stupid question is the one not asked." When you ask a question, there might be at least one other person who would love to ask the same question, but for one reason or another is afraid to ask it. It is Sunday morning. Many sites use this time for routine maintenance and are down only an hour or two. I am sure if you wait an hour or so, you will be able to order. Edit: Checked and it is back up (it is 3 hours later, not sure when it came back up).

Can you buy off the Victoria's Secret website if you live in New Zealand?

Yes you can buy from the website, although the shipping costs do add quite a bit to the overall cost. Unfortunately you will need a credit card. An EFTPOS card is of no use. You could pay cash to a friend/family member and have them use their card (but you will probably need to have the item(s) shipped to the credit card holders address). Alternatively, you could email Victoria Secrets to see if you can send them a payment by mail and have them ship after receipt.

Florida is a big state...depends where you're going. If you want to be on the beach, waterfront is going to be more costly. It's not a secret place, but... when we travel we usually go to vrbo.com because there are tons of listings by individual owners and a wide variety of amenities and prices. (We also advertise our vacation home there.) Also, if you rent a condo instead of a hotel you can save money by eating in.
