How can I become a reseller of prepaid debit cards?
I want to become a reseller of prepaid debit cards. Even a company that would dropship them would be good. Does anyone know how I can start this? Thanks! Also, I'm looking to do rather small volume...not become a huge distributor.

What do you need to become a reseller?
I'm pretty motivated to become a reseller, i have even gotten an inventory from a wholesaler but i need to know what kind of legal issues i must first clear up before continuing. I know that i will need state (Wisconsin) and federal tax forms as well as business naming papers with the deeds office. The partnership thing is a red flag for me. It will complicate your tax life. 1. But if you do go that way you will need to get an EIN (Employer Identification Number) to use as a Tax ID number. Go to ebay and look up the meaning of VERO on the community help section. If you are not an authorized reseller, you cannot resell software. Period. Thats the benefit. Ebay will cancel your auctions in a NY minute if you try. Your next question is: Is there much profit margin? Shouldn't you know that FIRST before deciding to sell something on ebay? Unless you are able to deal in volume (in which case you'll probably need a resale, not reseller, license), your margin especially when you add in the cost of ebay listing fees, final value fees, paypal fees, etc etc etc., is razor thin. What is this reseller's permit that distributors require for you to buy at wholesale?
I live in South Dakota and our corporation has a business license through the State's Department of Revenue & Regulation. Is this the same thing? We would like to buy products wholesale through a few select distributors that require a copy of our reseller's permit, so I just want to know exactly what is required, etc.

The license through the Department of Revenue should be sufficient, assuming that is the license that allows you to collect sales tax.
