What is the true cost of domain parking ? Where can I get simple afforable parking?
I have over a hundred domains registered. I think I'm being over charged. Does anyone know a way to get domain parking for under 5 dollars. Just simple parking. I dont want any service packages or strings attached. Thank you. MarcHoefnagels@yahoo.com

Judging from your question, I believe you want to know where you can re-register your domains inexpensively. I don't know of any registration companies that charge under $5, but 1and1.com has registration for $6.99. That's about the cheapest you're going to find. Now if you're really looking for parking, that's free. You can park your domain at Sedo.com, and you can earn money when people click on the ads. You'll simply have to point your domains to Sedo, and they'll set-up the page for you. But in order to use Sedo's domain parking, you'll still need to have the domains registered elsewhere. Parking is just for making money. Good luck!

What is the difference between domain parking and forwarding?
I want to change my whole website to a new domain. If I added a parked domain, would every page be linked from the parked domain? or do I need to make a new hosting account with the new domain and move the files to the new domain?

Domain parking is an advertising practice used primarily by domain name registrars and internet advertising publishers to monetize type-in traffic visiting an under-developed domain name. The domain name will usually resolve to a page containing relevant advertising listings and links. These links will be targeted to the predicted interests of the visitor and may change dynamically based on the results that visitors click on. Usually the domain owner is paid based on how many links have been visited (e.g. pay per click) and on how beneficial those visits have been. The keywords for any given domain name provide clues as to the intent of the visitor before arriving. domain forwarding, is a technique on the World Wide Web for making a web page available under many URLs.

How much is it possible to earn each year with domain parking?

Zero - you may have to pay the other parties legal costs (as well as the transfer fees) if you 'squat' on a recognised brand name ..

Who Offers the Best Pay for Domain Parking?
I Have 6 domains Names and I need to get paid...1 of my Domains has had FREE Parking since 1997, without me receiving a dime..I Need to change my Domain to a Parking Service that pays me....Also, when parked how can I determine how many clicks is registered per day ? ? ...

I know godaddy do a parking service where they put on advertisments and then give you a cut. However I do think there is a monthly charge but depending on your website name if it's popular then the cut you get from there advertising should cut it. I mean you could even *PAY* for a webhost and register for google adsense and get paid for displaying adverts.

What is "domain parking" -how are all these people making money at it, is it legal? and how, exactly, can I ?
Totally serious about this...I understand you can make a bundle. Just exactly how do you do it? And is there any special PC equipment beyond the usual required?

1) you go through a registrar that parks the domain for you like Godaddy.com 2) you pick domains that people are willing to pay money for (ie hell.com or sex.com) 3) you can make money but wiht domain names being so damn cheap...you'd have to have picked a VERY good name back in 1990).

What is the alternative to domain parking?

Putting a gun in your mouth and pulling the trigger. People who reserve domain names which they're not truly interested in (other than to sell it to someone who is truly interested in it) are a$$holes.

What is Domain Parking and how does it really work? How does one profit from it?

Domain parking is when someone buys up domains that they would expect people to accidentally go to. They put ads on these web sites that relate to what the domain is and then they receive money based on how many people click on their adds. Example: I go out and buy www.microsodt.com and put up ads on it for buying Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, etc. Then someone meaning to go to www.microsoft.com accidentally types in www.microsodt.com (the d and f are next to each other so it is obviously a typo) and they get my ads. With enough people going there, the odds are you will get click throughs to your ads and make money.
