Open Source Hosting

I need a way to host an open source version of Yahoo Briefcase for my school?
Looking for some open source version of yahoo briefcase for my school. I am the tech person and would like for my students to be able to access their personal folders (windows network) over the web. I know there are high dollar pieces of software to do this, but as a k-12 school, there isn't much money. Not afraid of linux, but would rather be asp.

Does anyone know of a "self-hosted" or open source web conferencing application?
Does anyone know of a "self-hosted" or open source web conferencing application? Our company has very limited need to host web conferences. The current hosted solutions, WebEX, MSLive, Goto Meeting, are all either too expensive or don't provide enough licenses to be useful.

https://www.webhuddle.com ? I haven't tried it myself, I just chanced upon it in a forum. Another person suggested: http://www.rhubcom.com

Open source utility that sends a series of TCP packets to a host and guesses the host OS from how it responds?
I recall an open source utility that sends a series of oddly formated TCP packets to a host and guesses the host OS from how it responds. But I can't recall the name.

there is nmap, which is an active tool that sends out packets to the host (as such the host will able to "see" this scan) There is another tool out there, called p0f. THis one takes a packet dump (which could be gathered through sniffing or legitimate interaction with the host (e.g. make a http request)) and guesses the OS based on the dump. It is a passive tool, that can not be detected by the host you try to determine the OS for.

Open source windows based test case manager?
I'm looking for an open source Windows based alternative to HP/Mercury Test Director. My current application is Access based, which can't handle a team and larger number of test cases. I really want an open source product that will run on Windows, either as Winform app or as hosted IIS app. Any products out there that a development team has actually USED?

You can try winrunner.

I want to create a myspace-type site for my fam. Is there an off-the-shelf or open source program I can use?
I want to create a custom 'my space' like site where my friends can upload their photos and create a blog. Message boards, chatting, and linking to friends would be needed as well. I could pay someone to help me if this is too technical. Where do you think I should host this?

Way easier and free to use one of the many sites that let you create your own page, like geocities.com or such. To host your own site is constant work and it costs money. It's not very easy either.

Looking for Open Source (Flash) Image Editor?
Hi, Looking to host an image editor on my site, preferably open source (cost and flexibility) and in Flash (cross-platform capability). So a user could upload an image into the editor do some nifty edits, save it back onto my website. Any suggestions? Doesn't have to be free if it's reasonably priced (few hundred dollars) (and source code is available) and very good.
