Network Sever
I have a network with the sever in another location, How can i connect my local PC to the domain in the server
I have a server in one country an a local network in another country, How can i join a pc or my local network in the same domain that the server is???
For Ex:. the server is in Ny (with the domain) and the local Network is in another city.
I Already config the VPN and the RRASS but i can't use any type of resources on the server like Web surfing... ( I already joined a couples of pc on the domain and are working fine)
You would have to use a VPN in order to connect to the network where your server is before you can join it to that domain. You can use the built in Routing and Remote access on the server to allow you to connect using RRAS. Once you're connected via the VPN then you can join your local computer to that domain and use all the resources on your server.
Why do I keep Getting a message that says "a network error is occured while connecting to the sever"?
I have tried 3 different cameras. Right now I am using a Logitech QuickCam. and it works, but it wont connect to yahoo messenger. why is this happening? How do I Fix this?
i have recently had this problem. am i right in guessing that you have norton internet security ? if so, it might be a firewall problem. follow this action :
open up norton internet security, settings, personal firewall, configure, programme control. scroll down to yahoo messenger and change auto to allow.
this should hopefully resolve your problem.
good luck ... Fox
(nb. above action may differ on different versions of Norton.)
when i start the webcam, it shows "a network error is occured while connecting to the sever?
Just like a computer, or router, a wireless webcam needs to have it's very own IP address. That IP address needs to have the first three octets the same as the rest of the network. Only the last part of the IP address needs to be different than the other devices.
You can also choose to allow the router to issuing to your device automatically, an IP address.
The RSS name has to be the same as the rest of your wireless network.
And if you use encryption, the key must be the same as the rest of the network.
You also need to specify the IP address of your gateway (router).
I imagine that you will have to read the instructions that came with webcam to properly set it up. If it is brand new, and still in warranty, I most definitely would take advantage of the manufacturer's help in setting up your product.
Just remember that a webcam must be treated the same as a wireless computer, or a wireless printer, or any wireless device that needs to use the network to be accessable.
why is that when I open my webcam or they invited me there is an network error while connecting to the sever.?

why does "a network error occurred while connecting to sever" message appear when I turn on my webcam?
Windows Xp firewall is off - Norton is on, and using "no proxies".....Never happened b4.
Try to make sure that all of the cables are connected and not loose. Also if you have connected to the internet then just exit it out, if it asks you to enter your personal infomation, don't enter it. It might be a hoax or a trojan horse... some type of virus. If you are not able to connect to the internet then check your internet settings and call your local provider.
I get a network error occurred when connecting to sever when trying to use cam can anyone help me please?
Kery thanks for ur help ,it worked
Okay you have a few options. One is check your proxies, make sure they are off. Two is check ur firewalls. I had this problem, and I had to go to my norton anti-virus program which is always running and actually turn my personal firewall to the internet off to run and view cams only on yahoo. It's NOT your cam. It's NOT your computer. Otherwise it wouldnt have worked at all. Try this first before trying to take apart the whole thing. I know its frustrating. So check your virus scans and firewalls outside of yahoo, and the ones inside of yahoo. Goodluck.

i get a network error occured when connecting to sever when trying to use cam?
it says waiting to connect and then an idle comes up
Same problem now for 2 weeks. Yahoo "assures" me that their technicians are working on it (I am beginning to wonder about that).
how to make a sever in a network? tell mein details, from the begining.?
Actually any machine can be a server. If you have several computers attatched by a connection device like a hub or switch, then you can designate one as a server to store files. Just make sure all the computers in your local network are all part of the same Workgroup and then share folders on the server. The ins and outs of networking are too complicated to discuss on a public forum like this - I suggest you search the Microsoft website for specifics for whatever operating system you are using they usually have step by step instructions on what you need to do. Hope that helps.
Is their a outline for average network labor cost such a wiring cost, sever and workstations setup cost and...
that includes the amount of times it takes???
PLEASE HELP!
There's no average - someone needs to network 2 computers, someone - 200. You can use Windows server, you can use Linux server - amount of time is very different.
I suggest you call a few companies in your neighborhood and get real quotes.
My hard driver is totally dead but it was in Network can I see anything thru sever?
If your hard-drive is dead, you're not going to see anything, including the "network"
Or any server for that matter.
