Microsoft Sever
Is there a program that working with Microsoft Sever to collect hardware data?
I am looking for a program that would access every machine on my Windows Network (about 300) and collect whatever hardware data was possible and collate it into a spreadsheet/database.
You may want to check out Spiceworks (www.spiceworks.com)
This (free) program is used by millions of IT guys to collect hardware and software data on the network.
This will query every device on your network and give you a report such as all software installed, firmware versions, updates installed, etc.
Is Microsoft Sever 2008 coming out soon?
I debating to get my MCSE 2003 or wait when 2008 coming out, when is approx coming out for 08, should i wait for it?
I am new to network, should i wait or get my mcse 03 certificate.
Don't cert for 2003 now. It is 2008 in less than 60-days! Don't waste your time and money on something getting close to retirement. Stall by taking a Vista exam since it is already out and you need a workstation exam for the MCSE anyway. Look up the MCSE 2008 track at MS and see if there are other exams you can knock out until the 2008 exams are ready. Sign up for the 2008 beta exams if you can. If you haven't gotten one yet I recommend you invest in MS's Action Pack Subscription program. I was sent WS2008 Beta last month. I am hoping to have some time over the upcoming holidays to play with it.
Good luck on your exams!

Can a SQL script have more than one trigger statement in it?
I am setting up an example database for a class I am taking. The assignment involves setting up many triggers in on a set of tables, and as per assignment requirements I am using Microsoft SQL Sever. I have one script in which there are 3 triggers declared, on after the other. However, this script consistently returns an error. If I run the triggers in 3 separate scripts, it all goes fine. Is there any way to include these 3 triggers into a single script so that I can minimize the amount of files I am turning in?
Its a little vague, but it looks like you are trying to run a script that creates those triggers. In this case: you can use the keyword GO between query executions. This will make sure each is executed separately.
Example:
Create trigger blah blah
//code here
GO
Create another trigger blah blah
//code here
GO
Create procedure blah
//code here
GO
Etc etc. Let me know if you cant get it to work.
Also, I should tell you that the GO keyword isn't a regular SQL command and it only works in MS SQL Server.
How do you setup the Microsoft Outlook Express?
I keep receiving a message of error. The host SMTP couldn't be found. Check server name. Account: HTTP, Sever:SMTP, Protocol: SMTP, Port:25, Secure:(SSL): No Socket Error: 11001, Error #: 0x800CCC0D. What does this mean?
If you want to use Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird or other third party email clients to view your email you have 2 options.
Subscribe to mail plus:

or download and install YPOPS
http://ypopsemail.com/
then follow the directions for your version of outlook here,

If you have trouble with set up, check the YPOPS installation page for alternate set up instructions.
http://dbeusee.home.comcast.net/
Click on YPOPS link on the left.
Then Click on Configuring email clients towards the bottom.
Choose the appropriate link for your mail client.
I currently utilize version 2.0.0.4 of Thunderbird
and version 0.8.3 of YPOPS (there is a more recent version of YPOPS if you are interested) and have no problems.
Thumbs up are always appreciated if I have truly helped you!!

Microsoft Outlook Set up?
I don't know how to set it up please take the time to explain the basic set up. it asks me sever info such as pop3 i don't know this info how do i get my e mail through outlook
If you have a gmail account and you want to receive the mail through Outlook (although I use Thunderbird), it has a step-by-step process to explain it.
Basically, you click the add account button (or in the menu) and it starts a wizard. You add the name of the account and the email address. Then the pop server: Google's pop3 is pop3.google.com at port 578 (this is explained by Google in your mail preferences).
If you want to recieve mail from some other source you need these pop3 and smtp details. Try the gmail first to understand how it works.
