Managed Web Hosting
Web hosting and managing?
Hello! Can anyone, please, explain me how web hosting and managing work? After someone publishes a web site, how difficult is to change and edit its content? Can anyone else do it for us and how often? Let's say it's a bit bigger site (some social network). Thanks
I agree with J K. And it also depends on the service you have picked. Some of web hosting services are userfriendly and easy-to-use in compared with others. I say it as a user who have changed several times my services during about 8 years.
My friend, if you are beginner, as an experienced webmaster I recommend BlueHost service which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.
They offer an installing service called "Fantastico". By using this service, you can easily create your forum, blog, photo gallery, etc. They also offer "Free Site Builder" that helps you build your web pages without difficulty if you are not skilled in using any creating website programs. (WYSIWYG: What You See Is What You Get)
They are a Multi-awarded Web Hosting which offer a Full-featured service only $6.95 a month. Their service is really perfect and uptime.
You can go there through the address below: http://bluehost2008.atspace.com
Here I have copied and pasted its features from their website to view:
- Free Domain Forever
- 1500 Gigabyte Hosting Space
- 15000 GIGS of Transfer
- Host UNLIMITED Domains (Support All Domain Names)
- 2,500 POP/Imap Email Accounts

Web hosting Question ?
Is host monster a good hosting service for user accounts, forums, and all other things ?
Also, is the web site builder usable within the mozilla firefox web browser ?
One more thing are there any other web hosting services that are chock full of features that can be managed within web browsers (Specifically Mozilla Firefox) other than yahoo! web
hosting ?
Yes hostmonster is good and I am using it.
If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months' time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.
I would like to suggest
Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukenden/
They offer hosting of "unlimited domains" and you will get massive webspace of 300000 MB (300 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer "a free Domain Name" and installing service called "Fantastico". By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer "Free Website Builder" as well.
Visit the site to check details.

Is it worth doing MS in Computer Science from University of Southern California?
I have currently 3 years of Industry experience and currently working as a contractor for Managed Web hosting company.
I gave my GRE this year. Got calls from University of Southern California Arizona State university(MS in Computer Studies) and Oregon State university.
Now my doubt is which university should I join, I am inclined toward joining USC because of its being high ranked. However I just wanted to ask whether its high fees is worth it or not?
Talk to current studetns in USC.
ITs expensive and you will not get Aid. You will have to pay 100% of the expenses.
You will find part time job for $500 per month.
Witch content mangement system is the easiest to manage, install, and upkeep that works on Yahoo web hosting?
I was looking at joomla, and drupal but I have never messed with these systems before and am looking for the easiest to use, manage and install
Well does Yahoo web hosting have Cpanel/Fantastico? That's what http://www.hostamina.com has, and with that you can just do a few clicks and presto, have pretty much any content management system installed, plus they'll help you set it up if you still need any help. In fact, they'll help you with anything!! But yea, Joomla is pretty good, so is PHPNuke - can't say that I know which is easier to install on yahoo web hosting, I prefer places that offer more personalized help/support.
