Managed Web Host

How much would a web design cost, if I wanted the homepage to play short videos, sound clips, and host pics?
I am trying to shop around for our art class, and we would like to know how much something like this should cost. Also, would the price change if we wanted the company to manage the site, like add pics and sound clips whenver we had new Art Show coverage? Thank you in advance!!

Where you live doesn't matter much, you can contract someone from anywhere. However the price will have a good range too it, as there are a lot of variables to that. Anywhere from a few hundred to several thousand. You'd need to spend some time with a developer and work out exactly what you want the site to do, and how you want it to do it. Basically as it is you are asking for a red car, but not specifying anything more then that ;) Which, unless you know a little bit about what options there are is pretty hard to do. A developer will be able to present the options that are available, ups and downs of each, and then give you a price.
