How much does it cost to make your own website?
I really want to make one but I here it costs cash that I don't want to spend. Aslo it would be great if you could let me know websites that let you make your own website Thanx!
Yahoo! has a great sitebuilder program that they give you free if you pay them for hosting. The Yahoo! hosting starts at about $9.95 per month. Keep in mind, however, that this does not include credit card processing which is more difficult and more costly. It all depends on what you would like to do with your site. You can also get good, inexpensive sites at godaddy.com I think they start at like $3.00 per month depending on what you want.

Me and some friends want to make a website thats kind of like iCarly.com, we just pretty much want a site where we can blog about anything and post videos and pictures and pretty much just a cool fun site. We want to have our own domain, like www.(our website).com. We were wondering how can we get started on it, how can we make it, what programs can we use, and any other advice or information for starting your own website would be nice.
I've been making websites for a long time and THE best way to do it is get a domain through Yahoo. Your first year is $1.99. Then go to freewebs.com and get a website there. Sometimes they have specials where it's only $15 a YEAR for a fabulous website with no ads. It's super easy to use, you can sell things, post videos, pictures, a blog, you name it. I just started a new one up and chose to pay monthly which is only $4.95. (The didn't have the $15 a year special last time I signed up, but did the time before that.) Really, this is the easiest way, especially if you don't want to mess with HTML or have a newbie looking website. Once you select your site name and all that with freewebs what you'll do is go to your Yahoo small business account (they'll send an email to you with the info) and forward your domain name. It's REALLY easy. If you decide to do this and need help, just let me know. :)

Because when I'm on the computer I want to know if I can make my own website because my friend has her own. Also it would be so cool to have your own website.
You should be able to create one. Most ISPs provide a low amount of space for their users to host web pages. You can use applications like Front page to create a page, but can also you Microsoft work and just convert the document to HTML. There are alot of options out there for personal web pages.

2) You learn HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL and PHP - for starters.
3) You design the site, then you write code to i mplement it.
It can cost nothing (host it on your own computer and use a dynamic DNS service for a named address) or pwy a web host and buy a domain name.
