What kind of website or computer program could I make as a 10th grade high school student?
I want something big that I can put on a college application, and what I am good as is computers. The only things I could think of colleges would like is some kind of computer program that is extremely impressive, or a website with a decent amount of traffic. I don't know what I could do for either though. For either one, I want it to show that it took a lot of time and thought, and I had to work hard at it. So I'm looking for some website ideas, or a program idea. Or just another idea altogether on the topic of computers. It just seems that any website or program that I could make is already made and very abundant, so I don't know what to do. I am very good at networking computers...I can set up a wireless home network of 4 computers in about 15 minutes with shared folders and printers. I thought about making a site on this, but a website would cost a lot (im 14), and there are tons of sites on instructional networking already

YES!!! www.allrecipes.com. They have an ingredient search. You list the ingredients you want in a recipe. You can also list ingredients you DON"T want. It is an awesome website! I get all my recipes there.

What website is good to figure out make your own knit patterns?
Does anyone know of a website that can generate knit patterns or make a graft for you? I'm currently knitting a project and instead of cross bones on the sleeve I'd like to make a different pattern.

There are websites where you can generate your own graph paper and draw your own graphs on that and there are some sites where you can generate a simple basic sweater design from measurements you provide. However, in 50+ years of knitting I have yet to find a site that will draw a graph for you or tell you how to make complex pattern sweaters. There is software you can purchase that will do much of that for you, but it tends to be expensive. LMK if you are interested in the graph paper sites to draw your own.

I have hostgator as a web host and they have a "plug in" or add-on called php bb for Bulletin board. I know a lot of membership sites use this and I once made a trial sub domain site and it worked great. Maybe that will help you get a start? You can also google "bulletin board software".
