Does anyone know of any free course-hosting providers?
I was planning to use Moodle, but my understanding is that in order to host a full course on it, you need your own server. The software itself is free, but you still have to have a server to host it on. I don't have one. Does anyone know any other free solutions to hosting a semester long course online? I would be the course creator. I just need a course "shell" to be hosted free somewhere.

My family has an online commerce site and when we switched from Microsoft BCentral as our host to another company out of Georgia out page ranks plummeted! We were in the top 5 on Google and Yahoo and it took about 2 weeks to optimize the new site and get our rankings back. We did not change anything drastically on the page, just some of the text and the look (color scheme, layout) of the site. We got a shopping cart that was much easier to use and had lots of other features like coupon codes and wish lists. And from my understanding the small changes we made actually helped us gain higher rankings after the initial switch over. Hope this helps! :)

Hi! Well, title says all: how do free hosting providers (such as Yahoo Geocities...) automatically insert banner ads on hosted websites, no matter how the page have been created (web based editor or uploaded via ftp/site manager)? Thanks I understand your answers. Question is: how can they automatically put the scipt in web pages even though pages were created offline (like, with Dreamweaver) then uploaded by FTP/manager? I've already created pages on Geocities but never had to put any code by myself. Thanks

I’ve lost count how many times this same question has been asked Some people (depending on your connection) can reset the IP address and this works (but for the vast majority it doesn’t). There are proxies, but again you have to know what you are doing to find a decent one.... as you have already found out! Otherwise you are left with the “get an account free” programs usually comprising of referrals/survey filling which are scams or just never work (you will probably get any number of these spam answers coming soon!) The premium account info that people buy is not shared out like candy for good reasons (a) RapidShare reserves the right to close accounts, which are shared with other people and monitors this by checking on accounts used with multiple IP addresses (b) people with access to an account just change the account details to lock out the original buyer, or worse, sell it on Your best bet would be to simply buy it & don’t hold your breath for someone to give you their account info. Share it with a good friend if needbe (although not at the same time). It's €4.50 for 48 hours..... not exactly going to break the bank is it!
