How do internet advertisements work for the person hosting the ads on their site?
If you host a website and someone is interested in putting up ads on it, how does the financial element work? Do they pay per click? Also, what is a good estimate for how much money could potentially be made this way?
Well what you have asked I will answer in two seperate sections. First of all the money that can be generated is in the billions.That is why Microsoft wanted to buy yahoo because it is so lucrative but ONLY if you have the traffic can you make the money.
Now it is down to the agreement. If you say yes to pay per click you need to be careful of fraudulent clicks. But however if you have a paid advert you will only get that fixed payment. So if you ask me Pay Per Click is a lot more lucrative and will serve you well. However other affiliated companies only pay when you have sold their product and you make a commission when their product is sold.
So it is down to you really but Google provides a service called AdSense and people have become millionaires because of it. The advertising industry is massive and it is harder to get money from it. So my only advice on a personal off the record note is get adverts that are targeted to your website.

Even if you use dynamic IP, Google has a way to track your invalid clicks.
Google has an army of PhDs who are aware that there are people like you who will cheat on the system. Hence, they already have ways to determine whether the click is invalid or not
In one similar question asked the other day, someone said they tried the dynamic IP address to cheat on Google -- and Google found out about it and kicked them out
Instead of trying to think of ways to cheat the system, why don't you create quality content and think of ways to get traffic to your site?
Once kicked out from Adsense, you are banned forever -- and they will not even give you whatever it is you "earned" by cheating

If i have godaddy's free hosting service, are there ads on my domain?
Im planning to use google adsense so i don't wanna be screwed up when im using godaddy's free web hos which already has ads.
Im planning to buy the domain through them to.
I have a VPD from godaddy well techincily not in my name but i pay for it witha gaming friend. Their hostings not THE best.
Let me know if you need a better quality host, i have a reseller account and i can give out free accounts with no ads and it's very nice to have.
But if i am correct godaddys ads wont interfear with google adsense.
