Do I find a new job or demand more salary?
I have been a professional video editor for two years for a small company that does weddings, school events, and corporate videos. My salary is only $26,000 whereas the market rate for the work I am doing (not just video work...I know Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator and created the website for this company as well as manage the hosting, edit photos, as well as tak photos at weddings)...anyway, the market rate for my education/skill is $45-$50K. Here's the catch, this company doesn't have any more money..I am the sole employee of my boss, and do about 70-80% of the work. Should I find a new job? This guy will go under if I leave, so I don't want to do that, but I cannot demand more money since money isn't there! What do I do? there are no company benefits...lol, i got paid under the table for a year. and when traveling to and from work gigs he doesnt even pay gas or travel time, even when they are 45minutes to an hour away. i get paid m-f salary, then weekends (weddings) i get paid hourly for that time, so like for weddings...i have to go by our studio, pick up all the gear, drive to the ceremony an hour early to set up and i get paid from when the cermeony starts to when the reception ends...not from the time i go to the studio and load up equipment, which i think should be the start time for weekend pay. exige - i see your point, that they may have th emoney and just dont wanna give it to you, but my boss is breaking even...had to take a loan out to keep business afloat recently and pay bills.

just remember one in the hand is worth two in the bush. keep job look for higher wages else where once found you have a serious bargining tool

alright so i'm wathcing 106 right now and i was very surprised to see that terrence wasn't there. i actually haven't watched the show in a while. so anyways, mario is guest hosting the show and in the beginning, he read rocsi an apology letter from terrence. i was so confused so i decided to do some spying and i found out about this lil feud the show hosts are having. i managed to find clips of a video on youtube where terrence was dissing rocsi in an episode from last week, telling her she doesn't know how to read, her breath stinks and she should have a body more like ciara. rocsi ends up walking off the set. wats that all about? not professional at at.. but for real, i think the whole thing is very questionable. i'm guessing rocsi ain't fucking terrence anymore and he's just mad. wat y'all think?
