Hosting A Website
Anyone know of a good photo hosting website?
Anyone know of a good photo hosting website that will let me sell prints? Where they handle the printing, shipping, and transaction for a commision. I already tried Imagekind but I was wondering if there might be something better?
You could try photoreflect or smugmug pro. I think even dot photo also might offer what you are looking for.
If you already have your own website you can do it yourself for minimal cost by using showmeproofs.com
Good luck,
Bill
Any ideas on how to make a web hosting website? Trying to make a website with my own domain choices like .co?
I want to make a website and have my own domain choices like .co or .tc or something like that. I am wondering how to make the web hosting part.
You will have to purchase hosting from a web hosting company
Would hosting a website about ideas that someone has for our government be illegal?
I have my own web creation service, and I have a client that is requesting to put his and his friends' ideas on the website he's ordering. The ideas consist of how they believe the government should be run. The hosting site is located in the US and we live in the US. I didn't know if that would be considered "treason" of any sort.
1st amendment freedom of speech. The whole point of that amendment is to allow for different political points of view.
Will hosting my website on a US based server damage its search engine rankings for people in the UK?
Hi,
my website is aimed at the European and UK market. I am considering hosting it with a US webhost, mainly for reasons of cost and quality of service. Will doing so harm my search engine rankings for people searching from the UK and Europe?
Thanks
No, it would only have a marginal influence. A lot more important are standard SEO practices, like title tags, headers, website copy, link building. If you're worried about it, you could do a search on some of the keywords you're interested in and see what hosting your competitors use. (you can use http://www.whoishostingthis.com ) or better yet check what is really important, and that is how many backlinks they have. (I recommend http://tools.seobook.com/firefox/seo-for-firefox.html for this)
P.S. Since you're from the UK http://www.hosttell.com/one are currently having a promotion in the UK. They are offering one year of a free hosting and a domain (You have to pay the £9.50 setup fee and that's it). They're a nice choice if you don't need more than 3GB of disk space.
How does one find out who is hosting a website?
I am having a problem with a website and would like to file a complaint with the server hosting the website. How do I do this?
AllWhois is a good service for this.

How to find who is hosting the website?
I have come across one company website, which is very attractive to me and would like to know who is doing the hosting service for that company's website.
How to find out any idea geeks?
the host is not necessarily the designers! but
the command traceroute let's you know how to get there... and you always get to a server by it's hosting company.
and whois shows the registry of the name. not necessarily the host.
