Health Website

health website?
anyone know of a website that i can put in my symptoms and it will tell me what it could be that is afflicting me? also if you know what this is... here are my symptoms... irregular sleep patterns going to the bathroom more feeling that i have to pee even after i just went. and i know i'm not pregnant if anything thinks of that. i'm asking not because i don't trust doctors, it is that i don't have any insurance, and i don't want to go to the doctor if it something that will pass in a few days

Try WebMD.com. They have a very nice database of symptoms. But if at all possible, I wouldn't leave it up to an inanimate website to tell you what's wrong with you! That's the number one complaint I hear from my doctors: is that their patients try to diagnose themselves before they go to the doctor. To me, it sounds like you're just overly stressed about something. But I would still get to a doctor you trust just to make sure. Good luck!

Have you heard about a South African Health website?
That concentrates on tuberculosis and HIV/Aids? Apparently this Health-e website has won the Global Health Council's 2008 Excellence in Media Award.

Here is the full story. http://www.sagoodnews.co.za/sa_teaching_the_world/sa_website_wins_global_health_council_award.html And this is the vaunted website. http://www.health-e.org.za/

Im starting a health/nutrition website. What would you want to see on a site like this?
I am starting a health/diet/nutrition/weight loss/exercise/etc website, because obesity is a growing problem in America and I want to help. I am a Biology major at Boston College and understand some of the biological aspects of nutrition and gaining fat. I have some ideas of what to put on the site, but if you were going to a website like this to try and lose weight/get in shape, what would you want? What would you want information on? Weight loss plans? Nutritional label reading guide? Incentives for losing weight? More information on metabolism and fat? Consequences of eating unhealthy food? Please give me any ideas that you have, and let me know if you think this would be a successful website.

1. Which weight loss supplements work, which don't, and why 2. Which major advertised weight loss plans work, which don't, and why 3. Shopping lists and menus/recipes for a weight loss plan that works 4. Skip the 'how to read a nutrition label' stuff. It's available everywhere. 5. Section debunking common myths 6. Exercise section with SPECIFICS. Include simple exercises (e.g., sit ups, push ups, jogging, walking) that people with ZERO equipment and/or gym access can do 7. Section addressing the dangers of eating disorders 8. A "community" section where weight-loss "buddies" can connect and encourage one another 9. "Blog" section where those using your plans can log their progress.

What are the business, a person can start if he have health related website?
I have a health & beauty related website and i want to start some business.... what can i do to make money?

They sell kits on how to make your own soaps, potpourri, and perfumes. There are lots of websites that sell ingredients for aromatherapy and different facial creams. It's like playing with Legos. You get all the building blocks and create your own unique product. That would go great on a health & beauty website :) Hope that helps! ~Mark Lim www.PoisonApple.com

Where can I find a free on line health website that offers a test specifically to diagnosis symptoms?
free test/questionaire/quiz assessment towards diagnosis health conditions etc. based on an informational database. (Websites which have a free user friendly patient qustionaire that asks specific health questions, and formualate different answers based on the way you answer the specific questions) I've already seen my doctor, and I'm looking for additional resources to help myself, as well as my doctor. Doctors unfortunatley are too busy to be as thorough, as it sometimes is necessary to asess your health concerns based on relevant information you rarely have time to share with your physician.

I use http://www.webmd.com a lot. You answer questions and get back a variety of possible diagnoses (as well as what to do about them), and it's free and has a lot of cool stuff on there. It's also pretty accurate, based on comparing its results with my doctor's diagnosis. It can't replace a doc, of course, but it can definitely steer you in the right direction.

Is there a mental health website similar to webmd ?
I'd like a site where you can check your symptoms, similar to webmd.

psychcentral.com has some quizzes that you can take, that can help you determine whether or not you might have a certain condition. This site also has lots of information about mental health disorders. Hope this helps.
