How can I host a Team Fortress 2 server on my webserver?
I am leasing a webserver from this company and I'm getting sick of the website I have, and I want to make the server host TF2 matches instead. How would I go about doing this?

You cannot convert a webserver into a gaming server, you need to get a file hosting server or a gaming server Sorry...

How do you host your own webserver?
if i had my own server, how can i get my own static ip address and not have to deal with ISP port blocking and bandwith restrictions.? for clarification, the server will be located in my house.

To have your own webserver it is very costly first. To do this you will probally need a T-1 Line or the top of the line DSL or Cable service. These ISP providers offer where you are able to get a static ip. There is an additional charge with Cable and DSL. But with the T-1 or T-3 line you will usually get a set amount included.

I have uploaded a .aspx file onto my webserver but when I try and view the webpage it comes back as a 404error?
I have used Microsoft Visual Web Developer to create a webpage (index.aspx). When I upload this to my website server and try to view the website online, I get a 404 error - page not found. The website server/host allows ASP.NET. Does anybody know what is wrong?

If you are sure that the files are uploaded to correct directory then the only cause will be that web server does NOT recognise/allow your file extension... Try to rename it to .asp

Webserver works fine over LAN. I have fixed IP on ADSL so thats no problem. But how do I assign the IP address to the webserver, as by just putting in the ADSL IP does not work???

you are 90% there. you have to open up port 80 on the router, and forward it to the particular machine that is running your webserver

I am trying to put my asp.net site on my webserver at home. I am using IIS and receive the following error...
I use the create website wizard in IIS and i just get a message box at the end that says Incorrect Parameter. No more information. The website gets created but is stopped and every time i click start i receive the same error. Can any one help?

I think helios YDL is a webserver. I can't find much information about it. Any other web servers you could recomend? I don't mind if they work with linux or windows as I got a PS3 for linux and a PC for windows.

Apache is a great webserver for windows or linux. An easy way to set up Apache with PHP and MySQL is XAMPP. http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html . It runs on linux or windows and is extremely easy to install. I recommend you run it on your windows box, unless your PS3 is going to be a dedicated server.
