How do I connect frontpage to inmotion hosting database?
Front page is wesite that has radio buttons and on their that I want to save to database Mysql which inmotion is hosting
It does use front page extensions and it is enabled
1) Does the hosting site support Front Page extensions? If not, you don't use Front Page.
2) What language are you writing the database handler in (Front Page is a program, not a language) and which database is it? Different databases are connected to in different ways in different languages.
(You *do* have to know how to write a computer program to connect a web page to a database - there's no "non-learn" way around it.)
how can I get free web hosting with frontpage extensions?
I have been using it for a long time and I'm ready to move to one that doesn't have forced advertisements. I need one where I won't need a domain name, and where I don't have to use html or ftp. Please don't answer this question just to get points, please only give me real answers. And please do not say to search the internet, I have already done that.
Go to http://www.DependableHost.net - sign up for an affiliate account, then get one of their hosting accounts. With the commission you get from the affiliate referrals - you can easily pay off the hosting cost.
I HIGHLY recommend http://www.DependableHost.net - I've gone thru all the "big" hosts - and the customer service and knowledge slacks so much because they've got phone calls coming 24x7x365. I've found DependableHost.net and I'll never switch away. As soon as you get your account, you're assigned a "service rep" who is dedicated to your account. I get a phone call every month or so from him asking how things are and if everything is working ok. I also got a christmas card this past week personally signed by him.
I've never had my site go down once and I've been with them for 1.5 years now!
You can try them for 30 days free now! Give 'em a shot! I Guarantee that you'll be impressed!
Do You Need Frontpage 2002 Hosting When Using Frontpage 2002?

Can you use other web hosting or
maybe free web hosting
FrontPage has some built in features such as hit counters that require the Server Extensions.
As long as you develop your site without custom controls from FrontPage you will not need the server extensions.

where can i get free web hosting with frontpage server extensions?
► I would recommend using NVU editor (www.nvu.com), it's free and wont tie you down to one method of editing. NVU pages can be transferrable to frontpage or dreamweaver html editor
SEE http://www.interkeys.com/htmleditor for more info on Premium HTML Editors (WYSIWYG)
► For free hosting, try google pages pages.google.com or yahoo geocities ,
its sort of free hosting, but you are limited to a subdomain on googlepages & geo has ads on your website - otherwise I would use http://www.interkeys.com/tophosts to get one for a few bucks a month with 500 GIG bandwidth and the rich with features
its up to you how developed a site you want and if you want to use your own domain name
Linux hosting or Windows hosting for frontpage & dreamweaver?
I have designed a website in both dreamweaver and frontpage. In both sites I will have forms that email the results. Should I buy Windows hosting OR Linux hosting? I have always had windows hosting in the past and was curious about Linux.
question 2: who is your favorite hosting company? I am currently looking at bluehost.com and hostmonster.com
The choice of "Linux vs. Windows" should really be based on your experience and skill. If you use ASP or other Windows-centric technology, you'd use a Windows host. If you use Linux-centric technology, you'd choose a Linux host.
If you're using standard technologies that are supported on both platforms, then perhaps the single most noticeable difference between Linux and Windows servers is "case sensitivity." On a Linux server, you must specify the case of a filename correctly, or it responds as 404 not found; on a Windows server, case doesn't matter.
Some things are easier to do on a Linux system, others are easier to do on a Windows system, but most shared-hosting providers will have a web-based user interface that would look the same on either platform.
Of course, there are a zillion other HUGE differences, but if you're just going to create files locally and upload them, I don't really think it makes a difference.
I've used Linux shared hosts, and Windows shared hosts, and I've used Windows dedicated servers (because I'm much more familiar with Windows, and perhaps because I'm old and crotchety and don't want to learn new things).
I made a site on MS FrontPage 2003, my hosting site is 1&1, how do I get my site up?
I tried to publish it on the ftp site i also have and just the regular site too. i tried it with both the ms frontpage extensions on and off. I don't know what's going on. the 1&1 hosting site is so confusing. I have no idea what I'm doing. someone help?
Login to your hosting account, search for file manager, go to your domain directory, upload files like index.htm ,etc there, your website will be up.

How Can I move files From my control panel host to Frontpage without messing up my site?
Hi everyone I have a question
I am trying to move all the files from my control panel host to put them on my frontpage program so i can publish my site from there, see my site designer ftp all the files to my control panel, so now for me to publish them using frontpage I need to have all the files in order so my site wont be messed up, any idea on how i can do this?
You also need to download them with a FTP program like FileZilla. It's the quickest way to do it and maintain the folders/files in the same directory structure you have online for your site.

What is the best Web Host for hosting a Frontpage site?
It actually doesn't really matter as long as they support Frontpage extensions which most web hosts do.
