what is the best free website hosting?
something similar to lycos.co.uk (widely known as the best when it was available a couple years ago) I haven't looked on this for years, but since I have come across something that I will need to create a site, all I need is free hosting. The main thing that I want is no ads or banners. I don't care about bandwidth, space, and what ever else. Well back a couple years, there were free hosting that offered no banners, they just weren't exactly great when it came to the basics.

Those nazi facist sons of bitches deleted my other account, with my entire website. I considered taking legal action because of the months I spent coding it, but my lawyer said I wouldn't really be able to win because of what is outlined in their terms of service. I used free hosting for a while but came to realize that it is free for a reason. They make their money off pop ups and advertising. And some other aspects that you mentioned I use the 3 dollar package because it gives you the online web builder so I do not have to worry about all the coding. BUT if you choose a dollar a month package then godaddy.com - 8.99 a year for a domain 1 dollar a month for hosting so your cost for a site with your own name with no pop ups is 21.00 a year I say this because of the freebies that they offer.
