You will need to pay for the domain name, however you may be able to get the hosting for free. What is it anyway, domains and hosting are so cheap these days, even a kid could afford it. No. Well lets look at it this way. They company giving you free webhosting does bulk your website up with many things. Like in my case http://thetechhub.tripod.com/thetechhub/ is a website I made and given the fact it is on tripod I get many adverts on the screen. But then again you can direct more traffic to it and make some money from google ads. I am just a college kid with a small company and cant afford web space so I went for the "free" web hosting service.

If you are serious about websites either for personal or your business, don't go to free web hosting as they are usually not reliable and you may end up losing all your hard work.
