Can I make a Ventrilo server for free?
Is it possible to make temporary Ventrilo servers for free? I heard it was possible but there's a limit to 5 people to the server, or something like that. If so, how do you do it?

Yes if you go to the ventrilo website and download the server installer. Then follow their instructions: http://www.ventrilo.com/setup.php#Server_Installing Then you will have your own ventrilo server.

A free Ventrilo/Teamspeak like server?
My friend used somthing that started with a G i believe that was like Ventrilo or Teamspeak and you could have roughly 50 people in it at a time, and it was completly free? Is there anything you guys know about that is like that? Or a really cheap thing that can hold roughly 50 people? (Cheap as in cheaper than Vent/Teamspeak but still good quality ;))

if you have the hardware..... we run 'the last free' vent server before they decided to go all corporate - version 2.1.0 runs without any limitations (they say it only runs a period of time however i wrote a perl script to kick the process back of it ever died and besides a 5ish second bounce every other day or so we are good to go. Also another drawback is you can't use the latest client... every user has to install the 2.1.0 client as well if you are needing to get the software google it - pretty sure i got my solaris copy from that oldversions.com or whatever it is

Xfire is about to start doing the whole chat server things i believe if i read the patch right. You could try waitting on that. until then just do like me and my clan did and hi-jack a dead vent server heh. Either way you could still do the voice chat on xfire its buggy with the connections though.

free version of audiochat?
I am looking for a way to make something like a ventrilo server that is free i know on the vent website they have one to download that lets 8 total people log into the server but i couldnt set it up and didnt like it anyway. i was wondering if anyone knew of another chat service that lets you communicate with audio and posibly text and that is free. thats alot to ask hu?
