How do I Update a Wordpress account installed With Fantastico?
i just installed wordpress using fantastico in cPanel, but when i log into the admin section of my blog wordpress tells me i am only using version 2.5, when the latest version is 2.62. Does anyone know if there is a way to update the wordpress account through fantastico (i haven't put anything on the blog yet), or do i have to do it manually?

Fantastico is often out of date with the version of WordPress. Mostly, it doesn't matter if you are a bit out of date but if you do want the latest version, check in your cPanel to see if there is an icon called 'Simplescript'. This is now a much better way of installing WordPress because it has an automatic update facility built in. If you have Simplescript in your cPanel, go into your root directory and delete all the WordPress files. Then run Simplescript to reinstall the latest version. Good luck!

A bit urgent - which Fantastico blog script should I install?
I just signed up for web hosting with HostMonster. I will be using one of the blog scripts which are offered with Fantastico. The only thing is, I don't know which to choose: b2evolution WordPress Nucleus What are the pros and cons of each of these? Which would you prefer? Which offers the easiest custom skin editing? I need to get this blog set up asap, so I need to choose one very soon. Thanks in advance.

I would say use Wordpress. It's the most actively updated of all of the blogging systems, and has a huge community driven manual which can be found here: http://codex.wordpress.org Here is the Wordpress manual pages that correspond to theming a blog: http://codex.wordpress.org/Blog_Design_and_Layout You can also find a ton of free themes at this site: http://themes.wordpress.net/ Wordpress also has a ton of plugins available to customise your blog to do almost anything that you want. b2evolution is reasonable, but doesn't have as good a reputation as wordpress, and is not frequently updated by the developers. I have not head of Nucleus, but from the looks of the software's website, looks less mature than WordPress. I am somewhat biased, as I have been an extremely happy WordPress user for many years, but I honestly do think it's great. Good luck!

How to install scripts from fantastico in my website?
I have a website mindfrenzy.com, my web host has the service fantastico, there are some things that i would like to use fro it however they ask what directory to install the scripts to. I had a programmer do my website and i'm not sure if i will have to have one do this for me or if there is a common directory that these would be put under Ex. Wordpress script

fantastico error?
What does this error mean and hoe can i solve it?it appears when i press on the fantastico icon Fantastico is not installed at the default location /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/fantastico. Either move the Fantastico directory from it's current location to /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/fantastico OR enable ioncube loaders in WHM -> Tweak settings. So , how can i install and reinstall the fantastico again?

It looks like Fantastico has become corrupt, or some files have been removed. The best thing to do would be to uninstall Fantastico and reinstall it.
