How can a non-European register a dot EU domain?
I'd like to secure the dot EU extension for my start-up but I have no idea how to go about it. Do I need to find someone in Europe in order to use their address? Can I use a European address and bill it to my US Amex card? Please help. Thank you.

Depending from which country you belong has the same cyber law or not. I received exactly from an organization but the organization is in US and I'm from India so I explained his lawyer that this is not in our cyber law so I'm not interested in abiding your country's law when I'm and Indian residing in India.
When this law is implemented in our country I'll be the first person to abide by the same.

depends if its taken or not got lcn.co.uk type in your website name click on and a notice wil come up taken this means you,,,,,,,, then another list with alternatives ie .com.co.uk, .net etc but if you are all set up on the net why bother, people will pick you up from your meta tags anyway,the site mame is the key not the eu
also it does no harm to have two.it can generate more traffic to your orriginal web site,

Simple: they meet the .eu registration requirements. :)
Some US-based companies either open one in the EU or sign-up through a licensing or partnership with an EU-based provider.

I am getting a domain registered on the 7th hopefully but i cant seem to find anyone on the net that hosts .eu domains, i know they havent come out yet but i havent even seen anyone advertising for it. Can anyone help?

I have seen some email addresses with user@yahoo.com.eu when doing a Yahoo! Search.
As of now yahoo doesnt have eu but ther are several yahoo' services
like Yahoo Denmark/Norway/Italy/Austria/finland/france/spain/ switzerland/....other european national homepages.To get the list click More Yahoo! Services tab in left side of yahoo.com homepage.
