there's always the possibility of that happening , and your chances will increase if your selling cheaper than the market price :)

No. All the top level domains are run by ICANN, who use a tender process to assign them to registrars.

Domain Sale ?
I bought couple of domains from Y! , now that i will not be using them am i allowed to sell it to someone else is that possible? I have no idea. I heard about selling on eBay is it possible do i have that right? I thank you in advance.

some people make a living off of buying and reselling domain names. the key is to find the domain that everyone wants. i reccomend going to the site: http://www.sedo.com. It is a great site to help you setup your way to making money with domain names. if you bought your domain in the last 60 days though, it is still locked and you won't be able to transfer it quite yet. best of luck!

What does it mean when someone's "domain" is for sale?


It means you can buy the domain (eg.. www.yahoo.com) and have your website hosted at it, so when someone types in www.yahoo.com it will go to your website.

What is the best way to find home sale price information for a given neighborhood?
I know it is public domain information if you visit in person to the local government office, but I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a website to search. Thanks!

I agree with the former answer. Zillow is your best bet. The problem with it is inflated values or "Zestimates". Real estate agents and owners can enter additional photos and detailed features of their homes for sale. Other sales listed on the site have what minimal property data that transfers over from tax records which may not include remodels, increases in sqft of a home, it's condition, etc. You are left sometimes comparing apples to bananas. If you want info on a certain neighborhood, you could enlist the help of a real estate agent who could run or email you sold listings specific to your criteria. They perform this for free. My office's corporate website at JohnLscott.com has "sold" property data & those listings available to the public. Problem with that is JLS is only in Washington, Oregon and Idaho and that sold data is only available for Washington. Other real estate firms nationwide may jump on this bandwagon in the future, but right now, I think John L. Scott is the only real estate firm that offers that. As a PS, you could try googliing "Sold Property Data" and your area to see if there are any real estate offices in your area have public access on their websites.

you don't have to be registered - you can have an affiliate deal with godaddy.com and probably other registrars. But if you have to ask, this is probably not the business from you - your site will be unbelievably amateur looking, and no one will trust their domains, support, time and money to you. And you might only make a dollar or 2 for everyone you sell, before your own hosting expenses and time is calculated in.
