If there was such a way to get free domains, people wouldn't spend $$$ on them. Everyone will just get them for free...causing all domain name companies and quite possibly, hosting companies, to shut down. And if that happens, our economy would be even worse than it already is now. With that said, there *are* ways to get a free domain name, although it will NOT be easy, and you will often experience many, many, many problems, the most common one being after the domain expires, you can't renew it. Here's what you want: A website where you just sign up and you'll instantly get a free domain name and you'll get to keep it forever. If there was such a website, like I stated before, the economy would take a downfall. And it'll probably cause thousands of people without jobs, with families to feed. Ok, this is starting to depress me....so I'll point another thing out. You mentioned you are a beginner in web design. If that is the case, I wouldn't suggest you to get a domain name, even if you could get one for free. You need to take web design one step at a time. You need to start at the bottom, not the top, otherwise, you won't improve your web design skills. After you hone your skills, then just buy your own domain. You are probably a teenager, and can't buy a domain name *now.* However, since you can't get a legitimate free domain name, you'll just going to have to tough it up on a freeserver, and buy a domain name when you do have the money. Note: Despite giving a good, honest answer to this question, I would probably upset many people because this is simply not the answer they were looking for. Well kiddos, what you want does not exist, and just deal with it.

With Yahoo web hosting serive if I want two domain names (two websites) hosted do I have to buy two packages?

You can use sub domains for the additional domain names. So if your main site is yahoo.com and your other domain name is answers.com you can make a subdomain of yahoo.com which would be answers.yahoo.com and point the second domain name at that.

I very strongly doubt that you would get a .com for free without having to pay for a hosting package. Many hosts will offer you a free domain if only u buy one of their hosting packages. However you can get www.arpit357.tk for free here: http://www.dot.tk/en/index.html For a free host, do a search of "free hosting" on yahoo or google. There's a site that would host for free if you have your own domain name but cant remember the url now!
