Domain Email Hosting

Domain Email?
Hi Everyone. I am looking for some cheap email hosting that includes my domain name (___@domain.com). The problem is, I looked into it with my domain provider.. and they want $50 a year. I'm not willing to pay that much. There any websites out their that can host my email with the domain name I own?

How can I set-up home email using Outlook and a domain name I own without 3rd party hosting?
Previously, I used my personal domain (only for email) through a hosting service but I heard that I could set my computer up as an email server and host it myself (since I don't need a website). I purchased a new domain name and want to config my Outlook to use it but I can only find answers that point me to hosted email servers, which I'd like to avoid. Is this possible?

What you want to do is known as a "non trivial exercise". Why not just forward mail from your domain to gmail and pick it up there? Your domain registrar may even give you the facility to do this for free. Anyway, if you really want to set up your own mail server, this is a good place to start. http://www.redhat.com/magazine/025nov06/features/email/index.html

I'm looking for a hosting provider for my domain. I mostly need email functionality?
My site is only a few static pages. Email needs to work through outlook and be very robust. Ease of domain transfer would be great too.

I have a domain registered with 1and1 and hosting with site5. How do I setup my email servers?
So far I've only updated the DNS with 1and1 to point to Site5's DNS where my hosting is. Is there something special I need to do with my email configuration? Many Thanks!

If you are hosting with them, shouldn't they have their email configuration all spelled out for you? Normally, most email is configured as: mail.yourdomainnamehere.com.

Nokia N95 - Accessing Gmail HOSTED domain email services?
I dont seem to be able to access this from my N95. Please note this is NOT for normal gmail services, I am aware of the app etc. I am only interested in HOSTED domain name services. I modified the MX records of my domain to use the hosted services. No offence, but I dont think you have really grasped the problem. What you are saying is irrelivant to my problem.

if the "google apps for domains" that you are referring to is not accessible from the N95, then the problem is that the url to access the mail of your website is a pretty long one and uses cookies. if you had instead used MX records and modified them, you would have been abl;e to acces them. to do that you need to have a paid host or a paid domain.

I have my own website (domain & hosting already) can I use yahoo for my email I already have w/the website?
I've had a website already for a few years with hosting from a company and an email address already through them, but I don't like their web based email interface and I really like yahoo's. I'd like to keep all my hosting with them, but can I somehow use my email address on yahoo and view everything through yahoo and use yahoo to do everything with my email? If so, how do I do it? I don't have to switch my hosting to yahoo, do I? Thank you for your help! I can't figure out how to do it from Help. I contacted my web hosting company and they found this information for me that I couldn't find: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/manage/manage-46.html

Probably you can do this, yes. It depends on whether your web host allows you to forward or redirect your email. Ask about this. With many web hosts, its as simple as a click of the button to direct all mail from me@mydomain.com to me@yahoo.com

with the new yahoo(beta) will the email upgrades include more than 1 domain hosting?
I want to know about the email upgrades with the new yahoo system that isn't out yet. I need an email solution and am interested in trying the beta, if I like the beta can I upgrade my account and still get all the beta features or will it be standard yahoo until the official release?

Honestly, I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but . . . if you sign up for the beta mail, you will actually be using the new features even before the full release. Also, if you sign up for the beta and decide you don't really like it, you have the option to switch back to the old version.

How do I set my private domain, hosted by Yahoo, as the default for my Yahoo Mail for Mobile?
When I log in to mobile mail, I get my yahoo mail, not the email for my hosted domain. How can I see my hosted domain email?

More than likely you set your yahoo mobile up on your phone to work with your yahoo account. Tehere currecntly is no way to do this with a hosted domain. One thing that does come to mind is having your email from your personal domain forwarded to your yahoo email account. When you log into your Yahoo mobile mail, that is set up specifically for Yahoo default email and not any other email.

I have registered a domain name and have subscribed to web hosting. How do I set up an email address?

each service is different go to the stats page and there should either be an email link or a link that says users then there should be a create button some where
