How do I add an ftp domain to my home ftp server?
How do I add a domain name to my ftp server that I created with filezilla? It is not very user friendly typing in an IP address every time I log in.

An FTP server does not have a clue what name it was accessed as. You need to have DNS point whatever name(s) you want at the server IP (or your public IP to access it from internet). It may be possible to point different logins to different paths, but I have not run an ftp server for awhile (I use scp for more secure file transfers). If you want it to be accessed from the internet and you have a dynamic IP you could use a dynamic DNS service [to point one or more fixed name(s) at your dynamic IP]. I use no-ip.com, but for others web search "dynamic dns hosting". The reason web servers know what name they were accessed as is for virtual hosting is because http requests include a HOST header.

How do I add a domain to my spam filter list?
I have Comcast, and I am trying to add the domain, "@applyyourself.com" for the common application so that my inbox doesn't just send it to spam. However, I've been trying to find a place to put it but all I can find are the two options: "Yes spam filter?" or "No spam filter?" What do I do? Is it possible?

Hmm your question seems to contradict itself but I'm guessing you want all the emails from "@applyyourself.com" to go to your in-box? If so just ad them to your contact list and the spam filter will send them through. Happy days for you! LOL When you said comcast, Did you mean Comcast Mail? or Yahoo Mail? Either way it should work if you place as a contact person or friend. I have no idea what comcast calls it because I have NEFCOM ISP and only use Yahoo Mail.

How to add a domain to list of allowed senders in Yahoo mail?
How can I add the domain 'mail.codeproject.com' to my list of allowed senders in Yahoo mail? I receive a daily newsletter from these guys, but it always lands in the spam folder. I always highlight the mail and click "not spam" but the next mail always lands back in the spam folder. I had a look around Yahoo mail, but can't find any option that allows me to do what I want. Thanks for any help.

Try adding the address to your address book. Sounds like there is a glitch with the spam function.

Can you add a domain name to a free hosting service like geocities?
I just registered a domain name, and I have an account with geocities. Can I register it with geocities, so that when someone types in the domain name, my site shows up?

Geocities does not support domain hosting. You have a few options: 1. Check out some of the free domain hosting sites here... I found this page on Google and there are many more where this came from: http://www.webweaver.nu/domain.shtml 2. This option is more stable. Often times free domain hosting sites have a catch. For this option, you should register a domain name at a good registrar (Moniker, GoDaddy, etc.) and use one of their forwarding services. There are two options for these. First, there is "domain forwarding", which, when you type in www.mydomain.com, it will redirect to www.geocities.com/mydomain ... this will be visible in the browser address bar. The second option is to use "domain cloaking", which will forward to your new site, but the forwarded address will remain in the browser address bar... for example, when you type www.mydomain.com, the browser address bar will remain at www.mydomain.com but it will be forwarded to your www.geocities.com/mydomain web site.

Whats the best way to add value to domain names?
I have a bunch of domain names cash parked right now. I got worried though looking at one site that shows website ages and saw many of mine had few months or + - ect. Is it ok to cash park I see some domains have just a few words on a page ..so they I guess are gaining age as a "website" will my domain registered time add the most value ? Please help - also will the cash parking show up as website on domain look up for website ages eventually? Thanks so much!

The best way to add value is to add content. Naturally that can be painstaking, so you have the option of short cutting this some. An empty site has little value and relying on resale is going to be tricky. Have you ever heard of any of the following CMS systems? Joomla PHPNuke PHPBB etc? I have a copy running on my server below of Joomla. Being a windows based server, it does not like most of the CMS programs, though I am still trying everyday to get them running on my other paid servers. Here's the deal, get one that has the feel of the sites name, and install it. They are really simple and make the site look close to being usable, rather than empty. Hope this helps
