If you log into your account and remove your credit card details, they won't be able to auto renew the domain name and it will expire.
How to prevent certain Domain Admins from creating another Domain Admin account?
Would like certain people to have Domain Admin credentials but not make for themselves extra DA accounts or promote another account to a DA? Allowing only Enterprise Admins, or certain DA's to have these privileges.
I would tell them no.
Is it possible to set the number of failed login attempts before a user is locked out of domain account? ?
Is there a way to change this in Active Directory. We are running XP sp2 and Server 03.

How do you get a blogger account to appear where a domain name is?
Let's say you have a domain name, and a Blogger account, and you want the Blogger account to show up when you go to the domain name, but not to simply be forwarded from the domain name to the blogger account, but rather for the contents of the blogger account to *appear* at the domain name. How woudl you do that?
One simple way is to set up a framed page to direct users to your blogger account while still showing your domain name.
A better way is set up your own blog using open source blogging software such as Wordpress (http://wordpress.org). This will require a webhost which can support MySQL and PHP.

How to create a domain account that overwrites a local account?
Won't happen. A domain account can have the exact same name and logon ID as a local account and they will not interfere with each other.
If you have a local account "John" on the machine and look in the Documents & Settings folder, you'll see the profile's parent folder, also called "John". If you then create a domain account with that name and then log on and off of the machine, and go back and look in the Documents & Settings folder, you'll see a folder called "John.%domainname%" where %domainname% is the name of the domain.
Conversely, if you created the domain account first, then "John" would be the name of the domain profile's parent folder. The local account's profile folder would then be named "John.%machinename%" where %machinename% is the name of the local machine.
In vista will adding a domain admin account over right the local admin account on the box?
Please post where you found the answers / proof of this.
I don't think it would but a senior tech said it would and just wanted to verify his claim.
But in XP you can have a local admin account and a test\user account and the user can have admin rights correct??
So why is it different in Vista?
What if I tell you - you are both correct!
Microsoft never really makes this very clear. There is a BIG difference in Local Admin and Domain Admins and the UAC (user account control) does indeed make this distinction.
In fact makes it a issue that MS is still working to correct!
Here is one of the better explanations.
http://vistavitals.blogspot.com/2008/01/uac-local-admin-vs-domain-admin.html
Microsoft also discusses the "advanced security" measures makes good reading
http://windowsvistablog.com/blogs/windowsvista/archive/2007/01/23/security-features-vs-convenience.aspx
Basically - no local admin user exists in Vista like it did in XP
How do I recover my lost domain account password?
Ask the domain registrar to contact you via the email address you have on file with them? They will likely have a support mechanism for you to contact them and explain the situation. Don't feel bad if they give you the 3rd degree on identifying yourself -- as a thief would likely take the same avenue of attempting to obtain this information.
How to Renew/Reopen Yahoo Domain Account?
i have a domain with yahoo.due to some reason i was not able to renew my domain now i login to renew my domain but yahoo sendme a email that my domain account is close by yahoo due to non payment.how i can renew my domain or reopen my account i donot find any link to reopen or payment link.
Well, you probably cant renew the domain.
Go to http://www.whois.net/ and type your domain name in. You will see if the domain is available or if it is still registered. If it is registered, then you still own it, however, if it is available, you will have to go through the entire registration process again
