What is the going rate per hour or per project for a custom website including SEO and design?

Mostly per project depending on what is required. Basic web-sites run in the hundreds, while sophisticated / well-designed web-sites with Flash/graphics can cost thousands. e-Commerce sites with shopping cards, and credit card processing start in the thousands and just go up from there.

What do I do if I want to build a custom website but don't know any programming?
I want to create a website that can track user names, store data, and do other various unique things, basically whatever my imagination can conceive. How can I create the things I want on the site without any knowledge of html programming? Are there any companies that can help me do this?

There are a lot of companies out there who can do this thing for you. But you may spend a good amount of money. If you want a cheaper solution, check out the local colleges. If they have a program there where students learn about making pages, you might be able to sneak in a project like this for little or nothin.

Where can I find a good website for creating preschool custom name tracing pages?
Does anyone know a good website for creating custom tracing pages for children's names? I know kidzone has them, but I don't like how they make the t's with the curve and not straight down. Also, I would like to choose how big the font is if possible. Thanks!

?! Really. !? A child can copy letters, age 3 they kinda look like a letter. By age 4, you see recognizable letters. Just let your child write his name on notes, letters home, on his artwork, ect. I write the child's name on a piece of paper in orange highlighter. I then laminate the name cards for the kids in my class, They 'sign in' in the morning, starting off by copying their name from the name card. They can also trace over the card with a dark Crayola crayon, which can wipe-off with a tissue. Easy, reusable. Teaching handwriting is best left to when the child is in school, and developmentally ready (visual skills for handwriting do not develop till around age 5) Right now the goal should be recognizing letters, and how letters form words, and how words form sentences ( a progression for each step) And allowing the child to 'practice' writing in meaningful ways.

How much should i expect to pay for a custom made website?
The website would be in flash format,would include a blogging platform, a contents/ cataloge for seling, ie item, ctegory,mailing list, and sales platform, ie payment via paypal,customer database and shipping options. it would also include music etc. Couls anyone help me out? For all of that, the quotes that have shocked you are probably right around the norm. That's a ton of work. I've been designing web sites for 10 years now. I know it may sound daunting, but you can do a good amount of it yourself and the rest you can either pick up, hire out for at elancer.com, or find online services to use as plug-ins. I would highly recommend Site Build It or SiteSell Services. No HTML experience is required and they're very good at helping you build a success web business. I've had my own business through them for almost 3 years now and am very grateful for the results. I hate to see anyone give up their dreams because of money. Good luck to you and don't ever quit!

it depend on diffrent factors 1- the company that you design for small, meduim or large 2- your creativty in design .. dose your desgin look like ordinary web sites ... or dose it unique ? 3- did your company ask you for spacific features .. or just nice web site ? 4- are you a local designer and u meet them .. or u just contact them on the net 5- dose your desgin composed of just HTML or XHTML and CSS so if u answer all of this questoin u will could calculate your real fees ..... i think .. u could ask them for 100-150 $ will be ok

okay so i was wondering what's the best website to create a custom myspace layout?. But i would like it to be easy to use. I would also like it to be alayout creator that you can upload pictures to. And create custom boxes. Not color ones But custom ones. And i can make custom TEXT too.

When it comes to the text I usually just pick some sizes and a font then go back into the code and change the fonts and sizes to ones I like. Mygen has a bunch of generators in it you can use also. It's all pretty easy.
