How do you create a permanent text font when creating your own website?
When creating a website, I select a specific font but after posting the font it only goes to a default font when viewed from a computer other than my own.

When using fonts on your page keep in mind that everyones computer may not have the font you use....I.E. if their font folder doesnt contain the font you use it cant display it.....I simply use a photo or paint program and create an image with text and save it as a jpeg or gif.....you can link a jpeg or gif as easily as you can text also.

If you are a true novice and don't want to spend much time learning how to make a site, I would suggest the current super-popular MySpace. You can quickly get your information up for all your friends to see. If you are interested in something more, but still fairly simple try GeoCities or Yahoo. Look into the source! I wouldn't recommend a "site builder". You can easily learn basic html and css from just looking into the page source of already done websites. Also, the internet is full of resources - code examples, forums and so on...
