Cpanel Webhost
Cpanel webhost email accounts problem.?
I have a website which is hosted by Cpanel and I have created a few email accounts with Cpanel, which are accessed through horde, squirrel mail or roundcube webmail.
I would like somone to gain access to one of these email accounts so they can read incoming emails, but the problem is they would have to log in to Cpanel first to get to the email account, and I do not want to give my Cpanel username and password. Is there a way they can gain access to this email account without having to login to my cpanel?
Many thanks.
I want them to sign into the email account on a regular basis.
Create their account and set up a password. Give the person the username and password. Have them log into web mail and go to the "change password" option.
That's the best way.
I need to find a WEBHOST with Cpanel!!!?
I want a FREE webhost that has a control panel like cpanel.com, because I cannot find a free webhost with a cpanel that allows you to UNZIP files automatically, instead of manually uploading or FTP. I have ALOT of files I need uploaded, and UNZIPPING them would be EASIER!!! PLEASE HELP! THANKS!

Is there a good PHP tutorial online that covers the fundamentals?
There are too many tutorials out there that I don't know where to start. I already have a webhost, so is there a site that explains setting up PHP on my cpanel somewhere, or do I also have to download PHP onto my computer?
PHP is a language used for scripts on a webpage which means that you will need a Webserver to interpret your code and process it.
If you are just getting started on website design and learning PHP it is a good idea to install a web server on a machine you own so you can test your scripts before publishing them to the internet.
Also, if you are just looking for information on how the language itself works the W3 schools have some of the best tutorials available for beginning or advanced users. Check out: http://www.w3schools.com/PHP/DEfaULT.asP
Does a full backup in cPanel cover MySQL Databases?
Does a full cPanel backup cover MySQL Databases?
Like most modern websites mine all use MySQL so this is important to me, If I make the full cPanel backup. In the event of a failure on behalf of my webhost will this mean I can take the latest backup I have and restore my account to it's previous state?
Thanks.
First of all, Thank you all for answering.
Second, Sorry, but you all three are wrong.
I just discovered in my cPanel backup that it DOES do MySQL, I unzipped the file and there was a folder named mysql inside of it were all my databases,
The reason I do a full cPanel backup is because:
- Its automated, I download one file and back it up
- It preserves all my email setting, stats, etc.
- It is easy to restore after a crash.
Easier than all the other methods, A simple click and my site is back running just as before.
Again, Thanks for your answers... I honestly am not meaning to sound unthankful.
There are a few ways to do this, unfortunately you will be limited by your host, no doubt.
Check out this link...might help you down the right road..

Website question...How do i include in my website where visitor can Register?
I am building my website and its seems very complicated. i mean i know HTML,CSS, and Javascript and all but thing is i what something on my website like a "Register" thing with user name and password and all, but i dunno how to do that. I have my own Domain name, Webhost and cPanel - got it free somwhere at i-net. what do i do to include this "Registrar" thing on my website? I believe MySQL is a must, right? Im not very familiar with the cPanel.
You'll probably want some kind of Content Management System. Here are a few to choose from. They all have user management/registration.
Drupal - http://drupal.org/
Etomite - http://etomite.org/
Mambo - http://www.mamboserver.com/
free webhost YOU HAVE USED that...?
offers
FTP upload
PHP 4 *NOT* in safe mode
a few mySQL DBs
.htaccess (mod_rewrite, error pages, dir list options, env var)
FILESIZE: 100 meg max or more
a few gigs of storage
a dozen gigs of monthly transfer
downloadable, daily RAW stats
must allow uploads of executable files (win32 exe)
* preferably
cpanel or non-crippleware control panel
mod_security
if ads MUST NOT break PHP applications like gallery2 (godaddy does)
yes, I can search yahoo for free hosting, too, thanks, but I don't want your quick copy paste from engine answers. If YOU don't have first hand experience with the host I don't want to see your answer.
:)
Please see our site at http://caringhandsmin.tripod.com a see if we seem to have the kind of site you'd like to make.
'
www.tripod.com has most or all of the things you mentioned.I am honestly not sure about the downloadable stats because I've never tried to do that. We don't do e-commerce per se on that site but tripod does offer that capability.

You will need MySQL for database username/password storage.

You probably want MySQL for a database, although you could store things in a flat file if all you will have is a few logins. You might want to check out PHP and/or ASP. I'm too new at all this to say one is better than another, but I know PHP is very good for doing things like logins and keeping track of sessions. I don't know how much you can do with javascript, I saved it for last in the list of things to learn...
cannot view files on my web server?
I've been googling this for sometime now but it's all in vain. Anyway I asked a client to upload files on my web server. I have a folder setup named uploads without an index page so I can download it directly using a web browser, but when I access that folder something like... www.mywebsite.com/uploads there are no files there. I asked some friends to access the url and they can see the files waaa it's only me who couldn't see them. I accessed the folder via ftp - no files, I accessed the folder via cPanel of my webhost : no files, whats wrong. Please help
Yes I have cleared my cache I tried on different browsers but all in vain here's the url Im talking about naturally you will see"index of...." followed by the list of the folder contents but I cannot see the contents http://www.i-mediaconcepts.net/fherdz/uploads
This is a very interesting problem. Being that your friends can see the files but you can't, have you tried clearing out the cache in your browser?
Tools - internet options - delete - delete all.
Sometimes the browser will display old information and not new uploaded information.
