I don't recieve any errors. As I said, I can access my cPanel from another computer bu not on my own computer. When I log-on i typed in the right username and password but i hit enter I dont see my cPanel. Instead the browser is loading for minutes and seems like nothing happened.

Why doesn't my password work? Try these troubleshooting steps: Set your Caps Lock key correctly. Your AT&T Yahoo! Dial or High Speed Internet password is case sensitive: "PASSWORD," "PaSsWoRd," and "password" are not equivalent. Keep this in mind when entering your password. Delete your cookies. If cookies aren't accepted correctly by your browser, you may be logged out of email home page as soon as you move to a different page. This may block your current ability to sign in or stay signed in. Clear your browser's cache. The cache is the memory your browser uses to store the content of the Web pages you visit. Storing that content lets your browser load those same pages more quickly the next time you visit them. If you're still having problems, find out how you can request a new password. What should I do if I forget my password? There are several steps to take if you believe you have forgotten your password: 1. Ensure you typed the correct password. Remember, passwords are case sensitive. 2. Make sure Caps Lock is not enabled on your keyboard. 3. Was the Member ID entered correctly? Make sure you have entered your Member ID and domain which is the same as your full email address. 4. Ensure cookies are enabled. 5. After two unsuccessful attempts, open a new browser window such as Internet Explorer and try again. Why isn't my password working? There are several reasons you may be getting the "Invalid Password" or "Invalid ID" error message. The most common reasons are: Passwords are case-sensitive, meaning that "PASSWORD," "PaSsWoRd," and "password" are not equivalent, so make sure your Caps Lock key is properly set. Do not add the "@yahoo.com" to your ID when signing in. If you have recently requested a new password, wait 24 hours before attempting to log back in to your account. This will allow your account to update. The other possibility is that there is a problem setting your "user cookie." A cookie is a small piece of information stored by your browser to help identify you. If your cookie is not being accepted correctly, you will be logged out of your account as soon as you move to a different page. This may be what is preventing you from logging in or staying logged in as you move from page to page on our web site. Try shutting all of your browser Windows, then find and delete the cookie files in your browser's directories located on your hard drive. Usually, these files are called "cookies." Be sure that you have selected the proper files before deleting.

How do I get into the control panel on a site that was built in frontpage?
I took over a site that was built by someone now out of the picture. I need to get into the control panel, or cpanel, to add my new email address. I don't know the correct URL to get in. I tried http://www.domain.com/controlpanel. I also tried /cpanel and neither work. Does anyone have any ideas?

Each domain provider have different characteristics. You should ask your host on how to access your control panel. You can try visiting their website. They usually have control panel log in.

windows web control panel?
is there any web control panel, like cpanel. but it free.

VHCP Open Source control panel http://vhcs.net/ Web-cp http://www.web-cp.net/ open source web hosting control panel written in PHP and released under the GPL. Webmin http://www.webmin.com/ - nice tool, but not entirely mature (yet?). Part of the problem, it is not imposing any hard restrictions on the version of the software you can install on the system. As result some modules are not checking for version of the utility they are trying to manage and could mess up configuration files. Should be used with causion.

Does every web-site have an admin panel as well as a cPanel?
I have purchased a web-site from Ebay that comes with F.ree hosting for a year. The seller of the web-site states that there is NO ADMIN PANEL but there is a cPanel. Every web-site that I own has it's own "Admin Panel" to control such things as pricing, contacting members, etc. Can anyone let me know if EVERY WEB-SITE has an admin panel or not? Buzzy

yes, every website has an admin panel. and cpanel is provided to the user on demand. The reason is as follows: you have a web site, you are given a cPanel and unfortunately you have forgotten your cpanel details. What do you do now? you will present a technical ticket to the support team and they will analyze the tickt and deliver the details of the cPanel. this is done by admin panel. Hope you got it. cpanel is what for and what can i do with it?
i wanted to make a website. i don't know what the control panel is for. is it important? what stuff can i do with it? i have no idea! i don't understand anything! just nothing at all....please let me know what are the functions of it.thnx

CPanel is like Windows on your PC. It allows you to manage your files on the server, create databases, email accounts and such. You can also schedule (cron) a task to run every period, like backing up all your websites. Very handy.

We're setting up a hostingsite. I have a program called WHMCS and a site. But I don't know how to get cpanel.
Can someone plz tell me how to get Cpanel for my clients or any other Control Panel. I want to pay it by a month to month basis if possible.

Control panels (like cPanel) often require operating system changes, so you will need root access to a server in order to install it. If you don't have this access and are currently on a regular shared hosting account, you will need to upgrade to a reseller account in order to be able to resell web hosting packages with control panel access for your clients. If you need a custom quote for a WHM/cPanel reseller account, please email me.

I would like to turn my e-commerce store into a blog...?
....how can I do this? Will I need new software? I'm working with Joomla and cPanel controls. Thanks!

Joomla is not meant for blogging. It is complicated and defeats the purpose if you just want to blog. Here is what you can do to turn an e-commerce store into a blog: 1. Get A Hosting A web hosting is where you will put all the files for your blog for the world to see. If you have cPanel, that is a great start. 2. Install Wordpress. Most good web hostings will have one-click installation for Wordpress via Fantastico. You need to optimize the blog further later on. If you don't have a hosting account yet, go to the source below for recommendation. 3. Start Blogging There is no better time to start than today. Do not wait until you get every post “perfect”. 4. Tell the world about your new blog This is where you need to advertise a little about your blog. You can try Pay-Per-Click (PPC) marketing if you want people to find your blog fast. Why can't I use FTP at my Uni?
I can't connect to my website to upload files at uni :( I have to go through cPanel or some other control panel to upload files one by one. This is tedious. Can someone tell me what is preventing the connection? Thanks!

Universities, although they run a seemingly unsecured network, actually run tighter security as regards internet than you would at home. You will be navigating through anything up to four levels of servers and firewalls. The prevention of uploaded files except to certain sites might be by design to cut down on any virus transmission. Check with your University IT deparment to find out which upload sites are accessible.
