I don't know the cheapest, but my registrar of choice is reg.ca who have been very quick and helpful with any problems I have had. Since they are inexpensive too, it's a no-brainer for me.

Im thinking about making my own website, and i was wondering if there are some places to register a domain that are cheaper then others, and if some might be better in some way.

Easiest is to go to a Domain Name Registrar yourself and purchase the domain on their website. You can do as many searches as you like until you find one available that you want. Did the domain names come with web hosting? If you just bought domain names without hosting, then you wont see any pages, but you will 'own' the domain name - you can buy web hosting to make them work. If you bought web hosting with your domain names, then you need to speak to them. It maybe your webhost may have a short term temporary problem keeping your websites live.
