Hi Sorry to sound like an idiot, am trying to get going on building a site. Have just purchased a domain name for $9.95, and I assume I now need web hosting to be able to put the site up. My question is, does the company I purchased the domain name from have to be the same company I purchase the web hosting from? Thanks in advance, I know is sounds a bit foolish but im just getting started. PS does anyone know any cheap and simple web hosting companys? Nope they don't have to be the same. When you have a domain name you can run it almost at every webhosting company.... But sometimes you have to pay extra for moving it to them Only know cheap and simple companys in the netherlands Good luck

Dude, go with BlueHost... Check out what you get for your money, it's amazing. I think it costs like $6.98 a month. Compare it against anyone else. BTW, I don't work for BlueHost, I just have my domains registered and hosted there. Domain registering also has Privacy Thingy so nobody sees your sensitive information. Free domain registration with domain hosting I think also. Good luck.
