What is the best way to sell software hosting service for business applications to companies?
If I have a data center where I can set up the servers and the necessary software, what is the best way to sell the hosting service where I will manage and support the business applications for companies? Basically, I will be the outsourcing company for the applications and off-loading the work from the client companies. I plan to host business applications such as accounting software, HR/Payroll, CRM, ERP, etc. As a professional applications hosting company, I will be able to host customer's applications more efficiently thereby reducing the cost.

how to start domain registration and web hosting business?
I want to start a domain registration and web hosting business.

Hi, When looking into webhosting services for your website the first thing to do is to assess your own personal needs as they pertain to those hosting services you'll want to consider. Small homepages will have vastly different web hosting criteria from the website of a large company for instance. It is also important to take into consideration anything you are planning on hosting in the near future as well and to take any potential growth into account so that you are not caught off guard by unexpected costs. The next step in finding web hosting services for your needs is to compare the rates of different hosting companies. While many companies will offer temptingly low rates it's crucial to know how much the prices will grow if your services and customer base expand. Good technical support from your web hosting company is also critical to success. The ability to solve any problems quickly with the least disruption possible is key to the growth of your website. The best technical support you can hope for from a web hosting company is an in house 24 hours a day, seven days a week, phone & email, based in your home country service. It's also worth finding out if the technical support is free or comes with a charge. Also, make sure the hosting company clearly defines "consulting" versus "technical support" as technical support will most likely be free while consulting may have a price tag. You also need to know how fast your internet hosting company can provide access to anyone visiting your website. This is easily researchable, with the most obvious way being to visit other websites hosted by your potential web host, perhaps varying the time of day you visit the website and focussing on the times when you think your target audience will visit your website. The best webhosting services will offer high levels of uptime which should be a guarantee to motivate the company to keep servers up all the time, while providing impetus to act quickly if anything goes wrong. I believe you can make a good choice after reading the reviews about web hosting at http://www.bestwebhostingchoice.com/

Should I begin a business hosting murder mystery events and parties?
I'm totally into murder mystery parties and have been hosting them since high school. I also recently graduated from law school but have reservations about being a lawyer. I want to start my own small business doing murder mystery events but my friends think it's nuts because there's no market for that type of thing (we live in Austin, TX). Can anyone provide input?

Right off the RT 29, Burtonsville, there are restaurant which has murder mystery night. Their parking lot was always full every time I passed by. Good fun place to eat with your friends. I think your friends have good point that there are very little market for the service, but there are very few businesses provide this kind of services as well . Low demand and lower supply. If you believe our market economy of supply and demand, than you might have a chance. Make sure you plan whole things before you begin. Good luck.

What is a good small business hosting website to use?
I'm thinking of Yahoo Small Business-but heard that its not that great and i think its 50.00 a month, plus a cut of your sales. How do you get money? Is if via "Pay Pal". What are some other options? Please, I am pretty green about all of this. Thanks

Your best bet is to go with a hosting service that offers more than just a place to park a domain. http://www.small-business-webguide.com I use SBI for my website because it incorporates keyword research with writing content (based on those great keywords), pre-selling the customer on your services then leading them to take action. You'll learn how to use graphics (photos/images) to draw more traffic as well as how to establish an in-bound linking program to get your pages to rank higher. There's a difference between building a website and building a website that works for you. I offer resume-writing services. I've had to up my prices for my service because I was getting so much business I couldn't handle it all. Not only that, but I earn a decent amount of money by the Google Ads that I put on my site. For instance, last month, I made over $1300 just on Google Adsense. Here's a link to my site: That's me on the front page. I really am I live human being. ;) www.professional-resume-example.com Seriously, for less than $1.00 per day, you can do so much more that just have a website - you can actually drive traffic to your business and increase your revenue. Why am I so convinced? Because I've been with SBI for 2 1/2 years and I hate to see people waste their time putting up sites that don't work for them. Ok, I'll hush now. If you want to know more, contact me through my resume site. And, if you think I get excited talking about my website, you should hear me talk about my great kids. ;) ~Carla P.S. Google deposits money into my checking account, some of my affiliates send me checks and most of my resume clients pay via paypal. Hope that helps.

How to set up a hosting business?
Can someone explain me step by step how to set up a hosting business? Thanks in advance! :)

There is more than one way to do it. You can become a reseller for a large hosting company, in which case you only need to sign up with the provider for whom you will be reselling. They will handle everything; all you need to do is to go get clients. Alternatively, you can go your own way. Lease or co-locate a dedicated server or a server cluster (in the extreme, build your own data center), develop or procure account management applications, hire sales people, system engineers and support technicians, and all that jazz...

HOW CAN I LEARN ABOUT THE HOSTING BUSINESS?

Does anyone know of a good online business hosting site/service that is affordable?
Any suggestions are appreciated. Also, if you know of a good site or book of tips on how to run this sort of business, that would also be helpful..... Thanks!!!

Your best bet is to partner up with a company that direct sales a product. That's what we did. You can create a web site, or have the company set up a web site for you to sale the products and services. Or collaborate with different companies. After you've set it up, you'll have to generate traffic to your site as means of either advertisement (which you'll have to spend a lot of money doing) or the more effective way is word of mouth and referals, which are free and more effective. Partner up with a company that gives you monthly earnings from services that you put people on either by in person, phone or from your web site. What I mean is for instance, my husband partnered up with a telecommunications service provider and all the cellular phone companies. Someone purchase a cell phone from our web site, or a land line or Internet service or whatever, the product it'self your able to provide at a whole sale cost as a distributer through the providers. When someone gets on the services, the company pays you a percentage of that person's billing every single month, month after month for the referal from you by word of mouth or by your web site. If you'd like to see an example of what I'm talking about, your more then welcome to take a look at my web site at www.tiffanyvague.acnrep.com Take a look at the products and services there, tour the company etc and to give you an idea of how you should have each of the companies and make extra money off the effort that you provided to these companies. Once you decide on a product or products and services, you need to start driving "traffic" to your web site. A lot of work but well worth the effort when your income starts going and rapidly increases. The most effective way I've found is simply word of mouth and referrals. We've had our business for over six years and this has been the most effective way. Loyal customers bring in more customers by the way you treat them, the quality of the items you have and the timely matter of the service you provide. Get a product and or service that's high in demand. If you create your own web site, make sure it's professional looking and not cheesy like a lot of web sites look out there. I'm not a web master, so I had the company do mine for me. I created a blog on my yahoo 360 page profile on home based business opportunities for online and off line businesses. A lot of information on this blog on different businesses, what it takes, as well as the truth on business complaints, etc. Any questions, feel free to email me at kaiden4@aol.com Hope this info helps Tiffany

if i were to start a small web hosting business are their companies that would let me use their servers?
if i were to start a small web hosting business are their companies that would let me use their servers? rather than me buying a server and hosting for customers myself? whats the cheapest way of doing it , thanks

There are many web hosts that allow you to resell their hosting and earn a commission. There are also many that welcome web masters to build and host their sites using there servers. I would suggest that you take a good look at several options and jot down the pros and cons. Some pay better then others. Some also pay more frequently. If you would like, you can take a look at one example through the web host that I use http://webmasterbusiness.sitesell.com/UnstoppableDreams.html I hope this helps spark some ideas. BEST WISHES!
