Business Host
Where can I host a business meeting in Oakland for an affordable rate?
I want to host a business meeting for about 50 people in Oakland. One person suggested the Buttercup Bar and Grill. What are some other good locations that aren't too expensive?
Preservation Park?
Where can I find a web host business plan sample?
I have looked everywhere, its for school, I'm not a copy and paste person but all the business plans I have looked at have things that I don't need and they are all different. This assignment is going to be the death of me but I can never come through, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I haven't really seen any around....I would suggest you just take a normal business plan and modify it. After all, this is a business just like any other business in the sense that you bring in revenues that have to at least offset the costs of operation, etc.
I need a host for my business email server that can forward messages to my Blackberry - any reccomendations?
I'm setting up my own business and I don't know whether I need to buy an email server or get somebody else to host it. I had registered with Fasthost, but they can't forward emails to m Blackberry - can anbody advise on the best course of action?
When i had my Blackberry through Cingular (Now AT&T) they had a feature in the BIS that allow you to download emails from email account. I had a AOL and Yahoo account forwarded to mien.
The simplest way is to use OutLook or OutLook Express (My choice} and use the Message Rules to forward to your current BlackBerry's email address. That way you know they are forwarded and if for some reason it is not they are waiting on your ISP's server or your computer at work\home.
What permits are needed to host weddings on a property, as a business, in California?
I would like to buy property around Los Angeles and host weddings there. Does the property need to be zoned as a "business"? What is the proper zoning or permits that need to be issued?
Thanks ahead!
It has to be Zoned as Commercial if you intend on a business there. It can be Residential-Commercial, but its just like a Church, or a School, they are zoned Commercial, some are Commercal-Residential.
Then you need a Business License,Tax ID.
After that, your pretty much set up.
I want to start an e-business, which web host would you suggest for a beginner?
I would appreciate something easy and affordable. Thanks!
Hi,
When choosing a web host it's of course important to consider the cost (some hosting can be very expensive) but here are some other important things you should take into consideration too:
Web Hosting Space: Some web hosts will only give you 500MB or so of space. This could be a concern if you are looking at creating large websites.
Bandwidth: Some web hosts will severely limit the bandwidth you can use before you incur extra charges.
Uptime: There's no point in having a website if people can't see it. Does your web host offer at least a 99% uptime guarantee?
Number of websites allowed: If you're looking to host more than one website on your account, will your web host charge you more to do this?
Support: If you have any problems you need to be able to contact your web host quickly and easily to get the problem sorted.
I have used Hostgator as my web host for over two years now and have been very very impressed with them. Firstly they're very cheap but still give me more web hosting space and bandwidth than I'll ever need, the ability to host unlimited websites, a 99.9% uptime guarantee and great customer support.
They also include a great website builder for free which is great for beginners. You can find them at http://www.webhostgator.info
Do I need a business license if I host outside the USA?
I have a business using paypal payment I live in the U.S. and my website is in French and hosted in france but my customers are U.S and French. Revenu is less than $100/m to start and could be over $500/m future. Do I need a business license? Also it won't have tax within payment as it don't target witch or witch country.
The short answer to your question is... NO. There are no licensing authorities to issue such a license.
Good Luck!
I'd like to start an online business. Know of a site that would let me create my website and host it for free?
I'd like to start an online business. Know of a site that would let me create my website and host it for free?
Please list several sites that I could use, that would be really helpful. Don't bother to list any 'free' trials. Those are not useful to me.
godaddy.com
Not free but around $15 a year

I am looking for a host that will be able to hold my photography website that I have built for my Business?
I am looking for a host that will be able to hold my photography website that I have built for my Business? I just recently started selling my photos and i built my self a website using adobe Light Room. all i need now is a host! I want a good reliable host that i can keep for years to come and is about $100 or less.
You should avoid hosts that offer "unlimited" space/bandwidth as this is somewhat of a scam. You should also avoid hosts that offer ridiculous amounts of space/bandwidth, such as 10GB space for only $5/month. Hosts like this overload and oversell servers, and are bad news for anyone who wants reliability.
You should also avoid answers here that send you to review sites, as those sites make money off commissions and rank hosts based on how much money they'll get paid, not on how good they are. You should avoid answers here that look like they are affiliate links as well, for the same reason.
Hostamina.com is exactly what you need. Support is great! They will help you set up your website, and they will provide you with any help you need. Note that I am not using an affiliate link or sending you to a review site.

what is the best and average priced web host to post your business on?
This is for a cabinet/furniture business. No solicitation please.
It depends on what you want to do. Custom shopping carts and payment gateways (if accepting orders online) usually look better than using a template or e-store solution. However, standardized solutions are a bit easier to install and manage sometimes. Remember to make the most important information accessible with ease using navigation bars or other techniques, and to display important contact information (phone number) and your logo on each page to build your brand.
To search and compare hosting services, http://www.findmyhosting.com/AdvancedSearch.asp might be a good site. Remember: cheaper isn't always better, even if you get more space or bandwidth. I've had issues with cheap sites because they are too slow to upload pages to customers. You can expect to pay $7-10/mo for a good business package; if you go below $5/mo, make sure the host is reliable. For small business, you won't need too much of the technical stuff, but PHP and SQL are recommended to help whoever is building your site.
My personal preference is IPower http://ipowerweb.com/products/webhosting/index.html as it provides good value, a bunch of extra business services (not sure what you could use), is highly rated from reviews I've read as well, and serves pages quickly to customers. The space and bandwidth offered are more than you will ever use (a couple years ago I paid the same amount for about 1% of the space now being offered; it's constantly increasing for all hosts as technology changes).
Web developers are also pretty cheap. Visit http://www.odesk.com/ for pretty much any type of web development contracted at $12-16/hr. Usually get better results than using a standard web developer service in terms of quality as long as you know what you want.
