The company that I have used, and the one with the best prices I have found for "unlimited" access is http://www.superuser.net They will host and register your domain name for free as long as you are with them and if you choose the setup with unlimited access then you don't have to worry about getting hit with thousands of dollars worth of bills. In short most hosting sites give you a preset limit on visitors megs of downloads and then if you go over charge you accordingly. This can get horribly expensive. These folks start at around 12 bucks a month for 2 gigs of storage space and have unlimited downloads so no matter how many folks go to your site you won't pay a bit more. They also have anonymous FTP you can setup which will allow your viewers a much faster download than regular HTML and can be done with simple click off your webpage. I started a website for a non-profit civic organization in California awhile back and set them up to be hosted there. Works excellent. Also they have a checkout and catalog system already installed where you can sell and categorize your wares if you want to sell any of your stuff and take credit cards, etc. If anybody knows of a site with a better deal please post it and let me know as well. :-)

Asking a question like this on here is just going to attract either biased opinions based upon a prior experience, or companies/individuals trying to sell you their services (which they are likely to be sold as the best thing since sliced bread).
I recommend you go to http://www.webhostingtalk.com and have a good read. This will give you a lot more opinions and companies to consider.
I also recommend you get your domain name and hosting from separate companies. If you fall out with your hosting company then you can always switch to a different provider, whereas if you registered your domain through the same company then they may dig their heels in and try and make things difficult. Unlikely....but wise to eliminate the risk.
