I was at my friend's house the other day and she asked me if I wanted to watch a movie on her laptop. I thought she meant a DVD or something so I said yes. Instead of putting in a DVD, she went to a website. On the website you could watch movies like Prom Night for free! Movies that were still in theaters could be viewed on this website! I asked her if it was legal and she said it was, but is it? And if it isn't legal, can she get in trouble for watching them?

How can I warn people about a bad website?
Recently, I left a certain site for good (a forum, to be exact) because some of the people there were absolutely cruel. They bullied me and some of my other friends there. However, we felt like the site owner did not do enough to stop the bullies. (They really should have been banned for good.) Anyway, I want to find a way to warn others about this site so that no one else ever gets hurt like we were. Is there any such site that would accept articles on bad sites or any other means to spread the word out?

I need an example of a bad website design?
What is the most poorly designed website you have ever visited? And yes I have been searching and I have found many but I just can’t seem to find one that is presentable for a class project.
I have to give an example of a very badly designed website for class that people really use but all the sites I visited that are bad are about stuff I cannot present in class, and some of the other ones are ones that no one would really go to. Meaning I need to find a poorly made website that is for a general audience and not adult, gross, racist, disturbing or controversial in content.
It needs to be a site that people really use and is suitable for a mainstream general audience.
By the way if your wondering what I mean by bad design, I mean even annoying text, confusing navigation, irritating colored themes or backgrounds, etc.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

well look at it this way, the best institutions don't NEED flashy webpages because they know that if most students know what's good for them - they would apply regardless. the more flashy the website the more the institution if tryingto overcompensate for (in general)
however, with that being said... i am myself guilty of not liking schools because their website's not that great... but i dont make it the main reason why i don't like the school - you havr to factor in everything.

How do you gauge a good website from a bad one in terms of usability, reliability, organization, quality of provided information?
Did you buy the product? Did the website help? Did it cause your computer problems? Could you read all of the text? Did the pictures download correctly? Did it download quickly? Did you like the appearance? Was it grammatically correct? Is there follow up information about the product? Are there going to be further product updates?

Sure, but they won't.
Harassment is only criminal if it is directly communicated to someone. A Web site isn't direct communication.
Your best bet is to contact the company that is hosting the Web site and ask to have it removed under their Terms of Use. Most Web Service Providers do not allow users to create sites with the sole purpose of insulting other persons.
If that doesn't work, sue the Web service provider and, as part of the lawsuit, demand a subpoena of who has produced the site.
What is the popular website to write posts talking bad about people?
A friend had told me the name of this website because apparently someone we know was putting a bunch of posts about people from our high school up but now I can't remember the name of the site. I guess it's just a website where you can search your city and anyone can say anything bad about people they know and it'll be posted.
