Any tips for me to get my Art website going?
I'm creating an Art website of mine. and I'm going to have a Gallery, and a section to Purchase my art, and View other things that I create. Any Tips to make it successful? my goal is to get a decent amount of Views and maybe even sell something. Any tips on Advertisement when i get it going? Or anything that you may know about this subject?

Paypal is a good way for people to pay you if you sell them something. paypal.com should be the website. If not google it. Also, you should join an art forum and most forums have an advertising section for like website updates and stuff. You can try deviantart.com though it's not for advertising. You can sell your work on there too, but you need to pay for the membership. I don't think the free accounts allow people to purchase prints of your art. You should probably start with a free hosting site, such as zymic, and look up some HTML tutorials. lissaexplains.com is great, if a bit for the younger, but still, it gets the basics down. zymic.com is a great free hosting site, though it has some down time. You can purchase your own url but you should probably wait until you are sure your website is good.

Where can I find a good nude art website?
I'm a sketch artist and I like to draw the human form, but I can't seem to find any websites that have nude models so I can draw them, every time I look I find something inappropriate and absolutely non related to art. I just want actual real pictures of the human body moving and in different positions so I can practice drawing it. Does anyone know where I can find a website such as this? Thanks :)

What do you think of my art website?
Hello...I am a Penn State art major and I have recently completed an artwork website for myself. I used Dreamweaver and Frontpage. Some people have said it looks too tacky or old looking. And not enough style or color. I took some of the advice and changed it a little bit. This is a newer version. I added a forest background I made with photoshop. Do you think it is good or stupid. From one artist to another, I have to say that I think it's great. I think it's great that you're even putting your work online! I look for inspiration from other artist everyday and I must say, I'm impressed!! keep doin' your thing!

Hi. Does any of you artists out there have any tips for how to better get one's website to come up on google? Also does blogging help? Anyone use Other People's Pixels for their web host?

The same thing you'd do for any search engine optimization. Fill out the meta tags, fill out the title and alt tags on the images. Use relevant text, make a site map and a robots.txt. Try to avoid flash. Submit your sites to search engines.

What are good questions for an application to be featured on an art website?
I'm making a website and I'm going to feature one person every week with their artwork. They can send me an application to be on the website but I'm not entirely sure what to put on the application.

Where can I find a art website that gives full interpretations of famous pieces of art?
I need artist style, discriptions of there specific pieces of arts, interpretation of what it means and depictions. The medium, and history of the artwork.

look at the web gallery of art. they have biographies, images and interpretations for artists up to the modern period. its a great source for European paintings and sculpture from 1100-1850 (i.e. Renaissance/Baroque/Gothic/NeoClassical...). it also states the medium, date, location, etc. it's wonderful! http://www.wga.hu/
